{"id":95066,"date":"2022-05-18T18:17:06","date_gmt":"2022-05-18T17:17:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=95066"},"modified":"2022-05-18T18:17:06","modified_gmt":"2022-05-18T17:17:06","slug":"2023-apc-not-aware-if-ex-president-jonathan-is-in-the-presidential-race","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/news\/2023-apc-not-aware-if-ex-president-jonathan-is-in-the-presidential-race\/","title":{"rendered":"2023: APC not aware if ex-President Jonathan is in the presidential race"},"content":{"rendered":"<div dir=\"auto\">&#8230; Party readjusts timetable, to hold convention May 28<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">The All Progressives Congress, APC has said it is not aware if former President Goodluck Jonathan is in the race for party&#8217;s presidential ticket for the 2023 election.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">The party also said that it has readjusted its time table for both the party primaries and the convention.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Speaking to news men Wednesday at the party\u2019s national secretariat in Abuja, the National Publicity Secretary,\u00a0 Barrister Felix Morka gave no reason why the party is changing its earlier timetable.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">He said, &#8220;We have a very quick announcement to make this afternoon regarding the timetable for our primaries, just today, Wednesday, the National Working Committee of the All Progressives Congress has approved a revised timetable schedule of activities for House of Assembly, National Assembly, governorship primaries and appeals that arise from that.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">&#8220;Our governorship and House of Representatives primary election will now take place on Thursday the 26th of May 2022.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">&#8220;The Senate and House of Assembly primaries will now take place on Friday to the 27th of May 2022.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">&#8220;The election appeals for governorship and the House of Representatives will now take place on Friday, the 27th of May 2022.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">&#8220;While the appeals for the Senate and House of Assembly primaries will take place on Saturday the 28th of May 2022.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">&#8220;While special convention and presidential primary will now take place between Sunday the 29th and Monday 30th of May 2022.&#8221;<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Asked if the former President Goodluck Jonathan is among the aspirants that will be partaking in the party&#8217;s primaries, the Morka said, &#8220;I&#8217;m not aware.&#8221;<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">On the mode of election decided by the party for the primaries, he said &#8220;that will be contained in the guidelines that we&#8217;re just about to issue.&#8221;<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">He also said that the party did not discuss about the contentious zoning arrangement by the party.<\/div>\n<div class=\"yj6qo\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"adL\" dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Related Posts generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&#8230; Party readjusts timetable, to hold convention May 28 The All Progressives Congress, APC has said it is not aware if former President Goodluck Jonathan is in the race for&hellip;<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on wp_trim_excerpt --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on wp_trim_excerpt --><!-- AddThis Related Posts generic via filter on wp_trim_excerpt --><\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":84322,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_lmt_disableupdate":"","_lmt_disable":"","footnotes":""},"categories":[5],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-95066","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-news"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v26.8 -
