{"id":95138,"date":"2022-05-20T19:03:18","date_gmt":"2022-05-20T18:03:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=95138"},"modified":"2022-05-20T19:03:18","modified_gmt":"2022-05-20T18:03:18","slug":"breaking-court-sentences-dane-to-death-for-killing-nigerian-wife-child","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/news\/breaking-court-sentences-dane-to-death-for-killing-nigerian-wife-child\/","title":{"rendered":"BREAKING: Court sentences Dane to death for killing Nigerian wife, child"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"m#msg-f:1733364433301479313\" class=\"mail-message expanded\">\n<div class=\"mail-message-content collapsible zoom-normal mail-show-images \">\n<div class=\"clear\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">\n<div dir=\"auto\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">A Lagos High Court, on Friday,\u00a0 sentenced a Dane, Peter Nielsen, to death by hanging for killing his Nigerian wife and daughter.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\nJustice Bolanle Okikiolu-Ighile convicted Nielsen, 54, on two counts of murder brought against him by Lagos State Government.<\/p>\n<p>The judge sentenced Nielsen to death by hanging on both counts.<\/p>\n<p>The Dane was charged with the death of his wife and singer, Zainab, and their three-year-old daughter, Petra.<\/p>\n<p>Lagos State Government accused him\u00a0 of smothering Zainab and Petra to death at 3.45 a.m. at No. 4, Flat 17, Bella Vista Tower, Banana Island, Ikoyi, Lagos State.<\/p>\n<p>Nielsen was arraigned on June 13, 2018.<\/p>\n<p>He pleaded not guilty to the two-count charge of murder contrary to Section 223 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"mail-message-footer spacer collapsible\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Related Posts generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A Lagos High Court, on Friday,\u00a0 sentenced a Dane, Peter Nielsen, to death by hanging for killing his Nigerian wife and daughter.
