{"id":95170,"date":"2022-05-21T17:44:54","date_gmt":"2022-05-21T16:44:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=95170"},"modified":"2022-05-21T17:44:54","modified_gmt":"2022-05-21T16:44:54","slug":"2023-no-aspirants-ll-leave-apc-after-primaries-says-apc-chair-adamu","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/exclusive\/2023-no-aspirants-ll-leave-apc-after-primaries-says-apc-chair-adamu\/","title":{"rendered":"2023: No aspirants \u2018ll leave APC after primaries, says APC Chair, Adamu"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"m#msg-f:1733452579805163561\" class=\"mail-message expanded\">\n<div class=\"mail-message-header spacer\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">As the quest for aspirants to secure the ticket of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC for 2023 heightens, the National Chairman of the party, Senator Abdullahi Adamu has assured that no aspirants will leave the party after the party\u2019s primaries, which are now slated for May 26th through 30th.<\/div>\n<div class=\"mail-message-content collapsible zoom-normal mail-show-images \" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<div class=\"clear\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Adamu stated that the ruling APC does not only want to win but also wants to win big in 2023.<\/p>\n<p>He made the assurance on Saturday\u00a0 while addressing a group of party members in the diaspora at a global virtual town hall session on \u201cIntra-Party democracy for the Emergence of Best Candidates.\u201d<\/p><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\nThe programme, themed, \u201cDemocracy in Nigeria: Mobilizing Global Support for Progressives and Continuity,\u201d was organized under the auspices of the APC Ward-to-ward Diaspora Network in collaboration with the APC Ward-to-ward Ambassadors.<\/p>\n<p>The Chairman said, \u201cDirectly I want to tell you that after the primaries, non of the contestants of aspirants will leave the party. You can see unlike the other parties extending weight, in our party all our aspirants are calm. Everybody is going left and right, trying to win votes for themselves.<\/p><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\nAdamu, who was represented as a Special Assistant,\u00a0 Prof. Abdullahi Yau, added, \u201cI can assure you this is the most interesting part; the number of people that are contesting and they are going to give everybody a playing level ground where you can exercise your right as a Nigerian to contest.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd at the end of the exercise,\u00a0 just as what happened in the National convention, you see that everybody will be satisfied with whoever that emerges from the primaries.\u201d<\/p><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\nHe said, \u201cUnless you have a process that is not well coordinated, a process that is marred by irregularities that\u2019s when people will be aggrieved and would want to leave the party. If you\u2019re allowed to exercise your right and you think there\u2019s fairness in what\u2019s going on in the party and you lose, I don\u2019t think you would want to leave the party.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI assure you even if we are going to have such a scenario, where we are going to have aggrieved members after the primaries, the Chairman and stakeholders of the party will ensure they reconcile everybody after the primaries,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>He, however, said all aspirants would be listened to by a high-power delegation of the committee if there\u2019s a tangible reason why they are complaining after the party\u2019s primaries.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey will listen to you and provide for your needs.
