{"id":95185,"date":"2022-05-22T07:32:05","date_gmt":"2022-05-22T06:32:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=95185"},"modified":"2022-05-22T07:32:05","modified_gmt":"2022-05-22T06:32:05","slug":"breaking-gunmen-behead-kidnapped-anambra-lawmaker-okechukwu-okoye","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/news\/breaking-gunmen-behead-kidnapped-anambra-lawmaker-okechukwu-okoye\/","title":{"rendered":"BREAKING: Gunmen behead kidnapped Anambra lawmaker, Okechukwu Okoye"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"m#msg-f:1733506280203017596\" class=\"mail-message expanded\">\n<div class=\"mail-message-header spacer\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">Isuofia community in Anambra State and the entire state were thrown into morning on Saturday as news filtered in that gunmen have beheaded the lawmaker representing Anambra Governor Charles Soludo in the Assembly.<\/div>\n<div class=\"mail-message-content collapsible zoom-normal mail-show-images \" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<div class=\"clear\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">\nHon Okechukwu Okoye\u2019s head was found at Nnobi in Idemili South local government area where it was hanged.<\/p>\n<p>His body was not there with indications strong the killers made away with it.<\/p>\n<p>It was gathered that the police later recovered the car and deployed operatives to rescue the lawmaker.<\/p><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Only on Friday, Soludo offered hope of rescuing the lawmaker while presenting Anambra\u2019s revised budget to lawmakers.<\/p>\n<p>Anambra Police spokesman Ikenga Tochukwu confirmed that the lawmaker has been killed.<\/p>\n<p>He said: \u201cHis head was found along Nnobi road today (Saturday).
