{"id":95190,"date":"2022-05-22T09:07:51","date_gmt":"2022-05-22T08:07:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=95190"},"modified":"2022-05-22T09:07:51","modified_gmt":"2022-05-22T08:07:51","slug":"breaking-kumuyi-cancels-abia-crusade-after-ipobs-warning","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/exclusive\/breaking-kumuyi-cancels-abia-crusade-after-ipobs-warning\/","title":{"rendered":"BREAKING: Kumuyi Cancels Abia Crusade After IPOB\u2019s Warning"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"m#msg-f:1733512652873008188\" class=\"mail-message expanded\">\n<div class=\"mail-message-header spacer\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">The General Superintendent of the Deeper Life Bible Church, Pastor William Kumuyi, has cancelled his planned crusade in Aba, Abia State according to a source available to Pointblanknews.com.<\/div>\n<div class=\"mail-message-content collapsible zoom-normal mail-show-images \" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<div class=\"clear\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">It was gathered that Kumuyi cancelled the crusade due to security concerns in the South-East geopolitical zone.<\/p>\n<p>The crusade was scheduled to hold in Aba from May 24 to May 29, 2022 but the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra told the 80-year-old cleric not to go ahead with the crusade.<\/p>\n<p>An official of the Global Crusade With Kumuyi confirmed the cancellation of the Aba crusade in a telephone chat on Saturday, and noted that a new venue would be announced for the crusade.<\/p><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\nAlso, the Chairman of the crusade\u2019s organising team, Pastor James Akpofure, corroborated the development in a statement on Saturday,<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs there are currently some security challenges at the intended alpha location (Aba, Abia State, Nigeria), the Global Crusade Convener, Pastor (Dr) W.F. Kumuyi commiserates with our people in Abia State and will be praying along for God\u2019s Divine Intervention,\u201d Akpofure said.<\/p><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\nEarlier on Thursday, IPOB\u2019s Media and Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful, had asked Kumuyi to consider the insecurity in the South East and not proceed with the crusade.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLet him (Kumuyi) and the organisers of the crusade make sure that nothing happens. The security of this region is not good because of political and criminal activities. We, therefore, advise him to stop this crusade for security reasons.<\/p><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\n\u201cIPOB will not allow anyone to die because of this crusade scheduled to hold in Aba.
