{"id":95369,"date":"2022-05-27T09:14:28","date_gmt":"2022-05-27T08:14:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=95369"},"modified":"2022-05-27T09:14:28","modified_gmt":"2022-05-27T08:14:28","slug":"gawuna-clinches-kano-apc-governorship-ticket","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/news\/gawuna-clinches-kano-apc-governorship-ticket\/","title":{"rendered":"Gawuna Clinches Kano APC Governorship Ticket"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"m#msg-f:1733964833739185295\" class=\"mail-message expanded\">\n<div class=\"mail-message-header spacer\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">Deputy Governor of Kano State, Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna has won the All Progressives Congress (APC) Governorship Primary Election of the State.<\/div>\n<div class=\"mail-message-content collapsible zoom-normal mail-show-images \">\n<div class=\"clear\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">Nasiru Gawuna defeated his opponent, Sha\u2019aban Ibrahim Sharada to emerge winner of the Primary Election held on Thursday at the Sani Abacha Sports Complex.Declaring the result, the Chairman of the Gubernatorial Primary Election Committee Senator Tijjani Yahaya Kaura said Gawuna polled 2,289 votes while the only other contestant in the race\u00a0 Sha\u2019aban had 30 votes.<\/p>\n<p>Kaura said that the total number of delegates for the exercise was 2,420, those accredited for the exercise was 2,420, total votes cast was 2,339 while invalid votes are 20.<\/p>\n<p>In his speech shortly after been declared winner, the APC gubernatorial Candidate, Nasiru Gawuna \u201dthanked Allah for the victory, he appreciated the support of Governor Ganduje, the party leaders and delegates.
