{"id":95713,"date":"2022-06-04T12:13:54","date_gmt":"2022-06-04T11:13:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=95713"},"modified":"2022-06-04T12:13:54","modified_gmt":"2022-06-04T11:13:54","slug":"my-deputy-never-informed-me-about-his-governorship-ambition-ikpeazu","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/news\/my-deputy-never-informed-me-about-his-governorship-ambition-ikpeazu\/","title":{"rendered":"My deputy never informed me about his governorship ambition &#8211; Ikpeazu"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"m#msg-f:1734694633112720022\" class=\"mail-message expanded\">\n<div class=\"mail-message-header spacer\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">Abia State Governor Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu has stated that his Deputy Sir Ude Oko Chukwu never informed him about his ambition to succeed him as\u00a0 governor in 2023.<\/div>\n<div class=\"mail-message-content collapsible zoom-normal mail-show-images \" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<div class=\"clear\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Ikpeazu who was speaking over his frosty relationship with Oko Chukwu,\u00a0 alleged that the Deputy Governor rather informed\u00a0 some eminent Nigerians before he was advised to inform him.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">He said; &#8220;My Deputy didn\u2019t tell me he wanted to replace me, he didn\u2019t consult me, he had gone everywhere before they advised him to talk to his Governor, when he finally came, I told him he has come a bit late, mind you, I&#8217;m the only Governor in Abia State that has ran almost 8 years with his deputy. \u201d<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\u201cHe became very ambitious and refused to consult me. I don\u2019t have any place in my heart to harbour bitterness, otherwise I would have done what I should do, everybody knows what a person in my position can do to a recalcitrant deputy but I don\u2019t think that is a way to go.\u201d<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">However, sources told\u00a0 Pointblanknews.com that Ikpeazu who preferred a candidate from his Ngwa tribe, never wanted his deputy to succeed him.
