{"id":95897,"date":"2022-06-11T14:56:50","date_gmt":"2022-06-11T13:56:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=95897"},"modified":"2022-06-11T14:56:50","modified_gmt":"2022-06-11T13:56:50","slug":"suspected-militias-kill-three-burn-down-villages-in-kogi","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/other-news\/suspected-militias-kill-three-burn-down-villages-in-kogi\/","title":{"rendered":"Suspected militias kill three, burn down villages in Kogi"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"m#msg-f:1735345760567790687\" class=\"mail-message expanded\">\n<div class=\"mail-message-header spacer\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">Suspected militias have killed three persons and burnt down two villages in the Bassa Local Government Area of Kogi State.<\/div>\n<div class=\"mail-message-content collapsible zoom-normal mail-show-images \" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<div class=\"clear\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">\nPointblanknews.com gathered that the incident, which happened on Thursday night, saw eight houses burnt down in Mozum, headquarters of Egbura Mozum kingdom, while two villages, Baze and Anki, were completely razed.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\nTwo of the deceased, it was gathered, were male, while the other is a female.<br \/>\nThe Secretary, Mozum Traditional Council, Ahmedu Abubakar, confirmed the incident to newsmen on Saturday.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\nHe alleged that the suspected militias are Bassa Kwomu, who were hired from the Agatu area of Benue State to attack their kingdom.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\n\u201cThey came and attacked Mozum, the headquarter of Egbura Mozum kingdom. They burnt down eight houses. This Bassa Kwomu Militias extended the attack to two Egbura communities namely Baze and Anki. They burnt down the whole villages and killed two men and a woman. As I speak to you, the villages are empty. The Divisional Police Officer in Bassa and soldiers detachment in Oguma have all come here to see things for themselves.
