{"id":95934,"date":"2022-06-13T08:16:01","date_gmt":"2022-06-13T07:16:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=95934"},"modified":"2022-06-13T08:16:01","modified_gmt":"2022-06-13T07:16:01","slug":"tinubu-disowns-viral-manifesto-on-social-media","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/exclusive\/tinubu-disowns-viral-manifesto-on-social-media\/","title":{"rendered":"Tinubu Disowns Viral \u2018Manifesto\u2019 On Social Media"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"m-3415646835752880429\" class=\"mail-message expanded\">\n<div class=\"mail-message-header spacer\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">The campaign organisation of the presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has disowned a viral document circulated on social media as Tinubu\u2019s manifesto.<\/div>\n<div class=\"mail-message-content collapsible zoom-normal mail-show-images \" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<div class=\"clear\">\nThe organisation on Sunday announced that what was being peddled online was a mere draft and suggestions on the programs Tinubu is expected to implement when elected in February 2023.<\/p>\n<p>A statement issued by the Tinubu Campaign Organisation\u2019s Director of Media and Communication, Bayo Onanuga, confirmed the development.<\/p>\n<p>The statement said that the manifesto being shared mostly via WhatsApp and Facebook is not the official campaign manifesto of the APC presidential candidate.<\/p>\n<p>It read, \u201cThe attention of the Tinubu Campaign Organisation has been drawn to a viral document said to be the manifesto of the All Progressives Congress Presidential Candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.<\/p>\n<p>&#8221; The document is currently being circulated via social media platforms in his name, despite the TCO informing editors that it is merely a draft proposal and suggestions on the program he should implement, when elected in February 2023,\u2019\u2019 the statement said.<\/p>\n<p>According to the statement , a manifesto is a more serious document.<\/p>\n<p>The statement said that Tinubu is having a consultation with the party, experts in various fields and a broad section of the populace through an empirical and evidence-based approach, to release an all-embracing manifesto that will be presented to Nigerians once it is ready before the official campaign begins in September.<\/p>\n<p>While acknowledging that the document in circulation was prepared by some senior associates of the APC presidential candidate, the statement said the document was a private initiative, which Tinubu has not personally endorsed.<\/p>\n<div id=\"m_-4090137314616516153ymail_android_signature\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"mail-message-footer spacer collapsible\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Related Posts generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The campaign organisation of the presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has disowned a viral document circulated on social media as Tinubu\u2019s manifesto.
