{"id":95952,"date":"2022-06-13T08:27:30","date_gmt":"2022-06-13T07:27:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=95952"},"modified":"2022-06-13T08:27:30","modified_gmt":"2022-06-13T07:27:30","slug":"bandits-kidnap-12-wedding-guests-in-abia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/other-news\/bandits-kidnap-12-wedding-guests-in-abia\/","title":{"rendered":"Bandits kidnap 12 wedding guests in Abia"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"m4277777974223057345\" class=\"mail-message expanded\">\n<div class=\"mail-message-header spacer\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">Bandits have reportedly kidnapped 12 persons on their way to a traditional marriage ceremony at Okigwe, a boundary town between Imo and Abia states.<\/div>\n<div class=\"mail-message-content collapsible zoom-normal mail-show-images \" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<div class=\"clear\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">The victims traveling in a bus were said to have been kidnapped along the Umuahia &#8211; Okigwe section of the Port Harcourt &#8211; Enugu expressway.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">It was gathered that the kidnapped victims were on their way to the traditional marriage ceremony of their son, when they ran into the bandits.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">After leading the victims into the bush, the bandits were said to have released the driver of the bus and the aged women who returned to disclose the sad news to the community.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">According to a source; &#8220;Our people were on their way to a traditional marriage when their bus ran into an ambush by the kidnappers who were shooting on the Umuahia &#8211; Okigwe expressway. They escaped from the first set but didn&#8217;t know that there were other boys in front. This was how they were kidnapped into the bush.
