Chukwuma Soludo homestead of Isuofia community and represented Aguata II state constituency.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Late Okoye was the reason the House has decided not to celebrate its third anniversary as a mark of respect to him,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p>Okafor enjoined Anambra people to continue to pray for the peace and progress of the state and shun acts capable of tarnishing the image.<\/p>\n<p>He\u00a0 said that the state legislature had performed creditably in spite of the challenges.<\/p>\n<p>The speaker commended the seventh Assembly lawmakers for the meaningful developments in their various constituencies in the last three years.<\/p>\n<p>Okafor said that the seventh assembly passed more than 40 bills and over 100 people-oriented\u00a0 and development driven resolutions within the three years.<\/p>\n<p>He attributed\u00a0 the success to the peace and unity of purpose among the lawmakers as well as the collaborative efforts of the staff of the legislature.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, some of the bills passed include, open grazing prohibition and ranching establishment bill, public finance bill, Anambra Information and Technology bill and Appropriation Bills among numerous others.<\/p>\n<p>He assured that the lawmakers would continue to enact laws and resolutions aimed at improving the living condition of the citizenry and advance good governance in the state.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"mail-message-footer spacer collapsible\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Related Posts generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Seventh Anambra State House of Assembly could not mark its 3rd anniversary this year over the member, Hon.Okechukwu Okoye who was recently murdered by gunmen.
