{"id":96037,"date":"2022-06-15T07:48:44","date_gmt":"2022-06-15T06:48:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=96037"},"modified":"2022-06-15T07:48:44","modified_gmt":"2022-06-15T06:48:44","slug":"tinubu-buhari-meets-apc-governors-in-abuja","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/exclusive\/tinubu-buhari-meets-apc-governors-in-abuja\/","title":{"rendered":"Tinubu: Buhari Meets APC Governors In Abuja"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"m#msg-f:1735681111467873619\" class=\"mail-message expanded\">\n<div class=\"mail-message-header spacer\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">President Muhammadu Buhari has met with no fewer than seven governors elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.<\/div>\n<div class=\"mail-message-content collapsible zoom-normal mail-show-images \" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<div class=\"clear\">\nThe governors are Atiku Bagudu (Kebbi), Abdullahi Sule (Nasarawa), Yahaya Bello (Kogi), and Nasir El-Rufai (Kaduna).<\/p>\n<p>Others include Simon Lalong (Plateau), Hope Uzodimma (Imo), and Mohammed Badaru (Jigawa).<\/p>\n<p>Although the details of the meeting could not be immediately ascertained, the meeting comes barely a few days after President Buhari called on the APC governors to support the party\u2019s presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, ahead of the 2023 general election.<\/p>\n<p>The President, in a letter addressed to the Chairman of Progressives Governors\u2019 Forum (PGF) and the governor of Kebbi State, Atiku Bagudu, urged them and other APC members to work together for the victory of Tinubu in 2023.<\/p>\n<p>Buhari said the APC standard bearer is no stranger to the governors, adding that Tinubu has the capacity to lead the ruling party to success.<\/p>\n<p>He further commended Governor Bagudu, who served as the chairman of the election committee of the national convention, for his professional and efficient conduct of the APC presidential primaries.<\/p>\n<p>President Buhari had on June 8 congratulated Tinubu for his emergence as the APC presidential candidate for the 2023 polls, saying the former Lagos State Governor \u201chas our full and unwavering support\u201d.<\/p>\n<div id=\"m_44444102285614351ymail_android_signature\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"mail-message-footer spacer collapsible\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Related Posts generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>President Muhammadu Buhari has met with no fewer than seven governors elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
