{"id":96542,"date":"2022-06-29T18:04:07","date_gmt":"2022-06-29T17:04:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=96542"},"modified":"2022-06-29T18:04:07","modified_gmt":"2022-06-29T17:04:07","slug":"bandits-raid-community-in-kaduna-kill-jtf-commander-kidnap-medical-doctor-others","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/news\/bandits-raid-community-in-kaduna-kill-jtf-commander-kidnap-medical-doctor-others\/","title":{"rendered":"Bandits raid community in Kaduna, kill JTF Commander, kidnap Medical doctor, others"},"content":{"rendered":"<div dir=\"auto\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">A civilian Joint Task Force (JTF) Commander has been killed by bandits who invaded Sabon Gero\u00a0 community in the Millineum City Kaduna on Tuesday night.<\/p>\n<p>The bandits who raided the community at about 10 pm, abducted 16 residents including a medical doctor and his family members.<\/p><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\nAlthough the police were\u00a0 yet to react to the development, journalists were told that the bandits\u00a0 arrived the community on motorcycles and started shooting which made some locals to run for their lives.<\/p>\n<p>According to a source, \u201d the JTF commander and his colleagues opened\u00a0 fire at the\u00a0 bandits\u00a0 but unfortunately he was not aware that they\u00a0 were very close.<\/p><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u2018\u201dThe bandits opened fire and hit the commander on his legs and he fell down. They shot him on the head the bullet scattered\u00a0 his skull. Another resident was also hit with a bullet and he died on the way to the hospital.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTwo people lost their lives, 16 were abducted, while, 6 were rescued during the attack. The bandits might have targeted the house of a medical doctor in the area as they went straight to his residence and abducted him and 6 members of his family.<\/p><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n\u201cThey attacked other houses and abducted 9 other residents. An officer confirmed that the commander had been killed by the bandits.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey took his corpse to his wife and later buried him. We are just coming from the burial ground ,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe situation could have been worse\u00a0 but the people quickly informed neighbouring communities who came out and\u00a0 chased the bandits.
