{"id":96670,"date":"2022-07-06T15:39:29","date_gmt":"2022-07-06T14:39:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=96670"},"modified":"2022-07-06T15:39:29","modified_gmt":"2022-07-06T14:39:29","slug":"all-boko-haram-suspects-escaped-from-kuje-prison-defence-minister","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/exclusive\/all-boko-haram-suspects-escaped-from-kuje-prison-defence-minister\/","title":{"rendered":"All Boko Haram suspects escaped from Kuje prison \u2013 Defence minister"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"m#msg-f:1737614253348199084\" class=\"mail-message expanded\">\n<div class=\"mail-message-header spacer\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Minister of Defence, Major Gen Bashir Magashi (retd), on Wednesday, said the 64 Boko Haram suspects in Kuje Correctional Facility are missing.<\/div>\n<div class=\"mail-message-content collapsible zoom-normal mail-show-images \" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<div class=\"clear\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">\nMagashi disclosed this during a press conference at the facility in Abuja.<\/p>\n<p>Suspected Boko Haram terrorists attacked the prison with explosives on Tuesday night.<\/p><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\nBut Magashi said the attackers are Boko Haram insurgents and 64 of its members, who were inmates in the facility, cannot be found.<\/p>\n<p>He said: \u201cWhat actually happened, they came in their numbers and released some of the inmates. We are now trying to determine the kind of inmates they released.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are trying to see what we can do to see that all escapees within the prison accommodation are brought back to the prison yard.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAbout 994 inmates, we have about 600 already inside now. Many people are being recaptured. The people who came to do this, from the records, belong to a particular group, from all indicators they are Boko haram.<\/p><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\n\u201cPresently we could not locate any of them.
