The Kano State Police Command says its operatives have arrested a young woman, Ilham Kabir Karaye, for allegedly stealing a car belonging to her boyfriend.<\/p>\n
The command\u2019s spokesperson, Abdullahi Kiyawa, made this known via a statement.<\/p>\n
Kiyawa disclosed that the woman deceived her boyfriend shortly after they stepped out to buy Shawarma on her demand in the Kofar Famfo area of Kano.<\/p>\n
According to the police spokesperson, the command received the complaint from the victim on July 12 and thereafter delved into investigation that led to the arrest of the suspects.<\/p>\n
He added that Karaye argued that her boyfriend was owing her N150,000 which he refused to repay which prompted her to take his car.<\/p>\n
According to Kiyawa, the boyfriend, whose identity was not disclosed, said the suspect called him and after their meeting, she told him she wanted to eat Shawarma.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe said he found out his car had been stolen and his girlfriend was nowhere to be found when returned from buying the Shawarma.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe suspect told the police that she called another boyfriend of hers to drive the car away to his house pending when her money was be repaid.<\/p>\n
\u201cMs Karaye and her other boyfriend are currently in police custody undergoing investigation before prosecution,\u201d the police spokesman said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
