{"id":97307,"date":"2022-07-25T10:44:37","date_gmt":"2022-07-25T09:44:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=97307"},"modified":"2022-07-25T10:44:37","modified_gmt":"2022-07-25T09:44:37","slug":"elon-musk-google-co-founders-friendship-ended-over-affair-with-wife","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/news\/elon-musk-google-co-founders-friendship-ended-over-affair-with-wife\/","title":{"rendered":"Elon Musk, Google co- founder\u2019s friendship ended over affair with wife"},"content":{"rendered":"<div dir=\"auto\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">The longtime friendship between billionaires Elon Musk and Sergey Brin ended after the former allegedly had an affair with Brin\u2019s wife last year, which led to the couple\u2019s divorce, reports have revealed.<\/p>\n<p>Anonymous sources disclosed that the affair between Musk and Brin\u2019s Nicole Shanahan took place in December at the Art Basel festival in Miami, while Shanahan and the Google co-founder were separated but still sharing a home.<\/p>\n<p>According to Forbes, Brin reportedly filed for divorce citing irreconcilable differences the following month, several weeks after he became aware of what the Journal described as \u201ca brief affair\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Sources told the newspaper that Musk dropped to his knees and begged for Brin\u2019s forgiveness at a party this year, but the Journal reported there is still tension between the two billionaires, with Brin telling advisors to sell his personal investments in Musk\u2019s firms.<\/p>\n<p>Musk and Brin were previously close friends for years, with Musk often staying at Brin\u2019s home during visits to Silicon Valley, and Brin once saying he would rather leave his billions to Musk instead of charities upon his death.<\/p><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\nRepresentatives for Musk, Brin, and Shanahan did not immediately respond to requests for comment.<\/p>\n<p>The reported affair is the latest scandal in recent months to plague Musk\u2019s personal life.<\/p>\n<p>In May, Insider reported that Musk\u2019s company, SpaceX, paid $250,000 in 2018 to settle accusations he propositioned a flight attendant working on one of the company\u2019s private planes and exposed himself to her.<\/p>\n<p>Musk denied the allegations, saying the attacks on him were politically motivated.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this month, Insider<br \/>\nalso reported that Musk fathered twins in November with a woman who worked for him at Tesla before she was hired on as a top executive at his brain-implant startup, Neuralink.<\/p>\n<p>Following the report, Musk tweeted he was \u201cdoing my best to help the underpopulation crisis.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The twins were Musk\u2019s eighth and ninth children, and were born just one month before he welcomed his tenth, a baby girl born via a surrogate with former girlfriend, Grimes.<\/p>\n<p>Last month, Musk\u2019s 18-year-old daughter, Vivian, was granted a name and gender change in the Los Angeles County Superior Court in Santa Monica, after she said she wanted to be recognised as a woman and no longer wants to \u201cbe related to my biological father in any way, shape or form\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this month, Elon Musk tried to cancel a deal to buy Twitter, leading the social network to sue Musk and ask a Delaware judge to force him to buy the company.<\/p><\/div>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Related Posts generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The longtime friendship between billionaires Elon Musk and Sergey Brin ended after the former allegedly had an affair with Brin\u2019s wife last year, which led to the couple\u2019s divorce, reports&hellip;<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on wp_trim_excerpt --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on wp_trim_excerpt --><!-- AddThis Related Posts generic via filter on wp_trim_excerpt --><\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":97308,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_lmt_disableupdate":"","_lmt_disable":"","footnotes":""},"categories":[5],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-97307","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-news"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v26.8 -
