{"id":97471,"date":"2022-07-29T09:26:28","date_gmt":"2022-07-29T08:26:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=97471"},"modified":"2022-07-29T09:26:28","modified_gmt":"2022-07-29T08:26:28","slug":"rejection-of-tinubu-shettima-ticket-is-gods-position-dogara","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/exclusive\/rejection-of-tinubu-shettima-ticket-is-gods-position-dogara\/","title":{"rendered":"Rejection Of Tinubu\/Shettima Ticket Is God\u2019s Position \u2013 Dogara"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, has said the Christian Association of Nigeria\u2019s objection to the All Progressives Congress\u2019 Muslim-Muslim presidential ticket was godly.<\/p>\n<p>Dogara, a chieftain of the APC, added that CAN\u2019s position on the matter is the position of all those who love justice.<\/p>\n<p>He spoke during a symposium on the leadership crises in Nigeria, which held in Abuja as part of activities marking the 12th General Assembly of CAN.<\/p>\n<p>He said, \u201cI want to say emphatically that CAN\u2019s position on the Muslim-Muslim presidential ticket in this country, at this moment of national peril, is not just CAN\u2019s or that of Babachir Lawal, whom many have accused of being the only one who has turned it into an issue.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI believe it (the rejection of same-faith ticket) is also the Almighty\u2019s own position, because we serve a God of justice. He is the righteous one as well as the author of diversity, and he wants us, as diverse as we are, to come together.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo, CAN\u2019s stance is the position of all of us (Christian political leaders) who love righteousness, justice as well as diversity and are working to harness these for the advancement of this country.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn as much as what we are fighting for is a godly position, every other position is ungodly. There\u2019s no middle-way.
