Facebook founder, Mark Zuckerberg, has appointed Dave Wehner as the Chief Strategy Officer of the platform.<\/p>\n
Zuckerberg also appointed Susan Li as Meta\u2019s new Chief Financial Officer.<\/p>\n
He made the appointments known via a statement on his Facebook page.<\/p>\n
The Facebook founder, who congratulated Susan and Dave on the new roles, wrote: \u201cI want to share a couple of updates to our company leadership that we\u2019ve been working towards for a few years and that I think will help us better achieve our goals.<\/p>\n
\u201cFirst, I\u2019ve asked Dave Wehner to take on a new role as our Chief Strategy Officer, where he\u2019ll oversee our strategy and corporate development.<\/p>\n
\u201cAfter 10 years at Meta and 25 years in the technology sector, Dave has a unique understanding of the industry and market dynamics that I\u2019ve increasingly come to rely on \u2013 especially as our own opportunities, challenges, partnerships, and internal organization grow more complex.<\/p>\n
\u201cThese areas will benefit from a more disciplined strategy process. Dave has done an excellent job as CFO, including actively developing a strong leadership bench, and I\u2019m looking forward to working closely with him on strategy in his new role.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhen Dave transitions into his new role at the start of November, Susan Li will be promoted to be Meta\u2019s new Chief Financial Officer.<\/p>\n
\u201cSusan has played a key role on our finance team for 14 years \u2013 helping take our company public in 2012, overseeing the forecasting and budgeting for our business, and proving herself a talented and dedicated leader.<\/p>\n
\u201cFor the last couple of years, Susan has been working closely with Dave to engage regularly with our investors and analysts as a trusted voice on our business. We have been working on this succession plan for several years now and I am confident that Susan is ready to step into this role.<\/p>\n
