{"id":97617,"date":"2022-08-02T16:24:52","date_gmt":"2022-08-02T15:24:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=97617"},"modified":"2022-08-02T16:24:52","modified_gmt":"2022-08-02T15:24:52","slug":"youths-call-for-disbandment-of-ebubeagu-in-south-east","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/news\/youths-call-for-disbandment-of-ebubeagu-in-south-east\/","title":{"rendered":"Youths call for disbandment of Ebubeagu in South East"},"content":{"rendered":"<div dir=\"auto\">Youths numbering over 500, in Aba, Abia State have called for the disbanding of the Ebubeagu security outfit in the South East zone.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">The Ebubeagu Security outfit is a regional Security network established by the Forum of South East Governors to tackle the rising security challenges in the zone.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">There have been protests across the five states of the South East zone against the activities of the Ebubeagu security outfit.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">The youths who made the demand while on protest along Faulks road ,Aba, alleged that Ebubeagu has turned to a murderous security outfit killing innocent people in the South East zone.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Among the placards displayed by the protesters include; &#8216;End Ebubeagu now&#8221;; &#8221;Igbo land is bleeding&#8221;; &#8221;Ebubeagu is killing innocent Igbo youths&#8221;; We don&#8217;t want Ebubeagu again.&#8221;<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">A cross section of the protesters that Igbo land has become a killing field due to the activities of Ebubeagu security outfit and the Nigerian security forces.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">&#8220;Ebubeagu is killing innocent people in Igbo land. Look at how they killed youths who were returning from a wedding ceremony in Imo state. We don&#8217;t know whose turn is next. We must rise against these barbaric acts on our land by the Nigerian security agents and Ebubeagu.
