{"id":97623,"date":"2022-08-02T17:58:26","date_gmt":"2022-08-02T16:58:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=97623"},"modified":"2022-08-02T17:58:26","modified_gmt":"2022-08-02T16:58:26","slug":"kogi-gov-orders-brothels-shutdown-bans-facemask-use","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/exclusive\/kogi-gov-orders-brothels-shutdown-bans-facemask-use\/","title":{"rendered":"Kogi gov orders brothels\u2019 shutdown, bans facemask use"},"content":{"rendered":"<div dir=\"auto\">The Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, has ordered the closure of all brothels harbouring prostitutes in the state.<\/p>\n<p>He also banned the wearing of facemasks in public places to ensure the proper identification of persons in the state.<\/p>\n<p>This is sequel to a series of security breaches being experienced in the state in recent times.<\/p>\n<p>He gave the order on Tuesday in Lokoja during a meeting with all first and second-class traditional rulers, including local government council chairmen in the state.<\/p>\n<p>Bello also ordered the removal and demolition of shanties in Lokoja, Osara, Zango, Itobe, Obajana, and all other areas in the state.<\/p>\n<p>He urged the State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Local Government Chairmen, union leaders, and security agencies to meet with tricycle and motorcycle riders for proper documentation.<\/p><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\nGovernor Bello also urged all traditional rulers to guard their domain and ensured all the nooks and crannies of their areas are cleansed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEnsuring peaceful coexistence in your domain is your exclusive responsibility. You have the exclusive responsibility to ensure that all nooks and crannies of your areas are free from criminality of all sorts,\u201d the governor said.<\/p>\n<p>He also sympathized with the family of the killed security agents in Ajaojuta Local Government Area last Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>While admonishing all local government council chairmen and security agencies to continue to do their jobs without fear or favour, Bello sent a strong warning to politicians not to be involved in anything that could disrupt the peace of the people and the security they presently enjoy.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLet me sound a note of warnings to all politicians irrespective of political persuations to desist from anything that could disrupt the peace we are currently enjoying in the state,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<div class=\"yj6qo\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"adL\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Related Posts generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, has ordered the closure of all brothels harbouring prostitutes in the state.
