{"id":97720,"date":"2022-08-05T01:11:52","date_gmt":"2022-08-05T00:11:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=97720"},"modified":"2022-08-05T01:11:52","modified_gmt":"2022-08-05T00:11:52","slug":"breaking-atiku-finally-meets-wike-in-abuja","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/exclusive\/breaking-atiku-finally-meets-wike-in-abuja\/","title":{"rendered":"BREAKING: Atiku finally meets Wike in Abuja"},"content":{"rendered":"<div dir=\"auto\">Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, has met the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike in Abuja.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting is the first between the two PDP political heavy weights after the emergence of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa as running mate to the presidential candidate of the PDP, Atiku Abubakar.<\/p><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\nWike has been on a war mode since Atiku chose Okowa over him.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting Pointblanknews.com leant was held at the Abuja residence of Prof. Jerry Gana.<\/p><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Jerry Gana coordinated the campaign of Wike for the PDP presidential primary which he lost to Atiku.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\nDetails of the meeting is still expected. But Pointblanknews.com had reported how Wike accused Atiku of peddling lies against him during an Arise TV interview.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\n\u201cHe (Atiku) appeared before Arise Television, see the statements he made. So many lies were told.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In the July 22 interview, Atiku had said that he did not pick Wike as his running mate for next year\u2019s election because he wanted someone he could work with \u201camicably\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGovernor Wike was not rejected. Nobody was rejected in the party. But you must understand that it\u2019s the prerogative of the candidate to pick his running mate \u2014 a running mate he believes he can work with amicably, and then also deliver the policies of the party, and also try to unify the country,\u201d Atiku had said.<\/p>\n<p>The comment of Atiku got Wike upset, calling Atiku a liar. He said: \u201cWhen he (Atiku) unveiled his vice-presidential candidate, no right-thinking lover of this party would say that the speech he made on that day was fair. Forget about the favour seekers. Forget about the scavengers. But I never reacted to it. That is because this party belongs to all of us.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThereafter, he appeared on Arise Television, see the statement he made. So many lies were told and you said I should not react to some of those issues. That would not be fair.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAssuming today, I am not alive, obviously what they have said would be accepted as the truth. Look at his (Atiku) attack dogs, Sule Lamido, Babaginda Aliyu, Maina Waziri. Look at the statements they issued. Look at the abuses they rained on me, but I never reacted.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd Nigerians will ask, you mean these things happened? So, it is important that as a person and for my own future, and for those who rally around me to say, look, this is not fair.
