{"id":97813,"date":"2022-08-07T14:02:33","date_gmt":"2022-08-07T13:02:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=97813"},"modified":"2022-08-07T14:02:33","modified_gmt":"2022-08-07T13:02:33","slug":"police-disbands-tactical-squad-over-unprofessional-conduct","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/other-news\/police-disbands-tactical-squad-over-unprofessional-conduct\/","title":{"rendered":"Police disbands tactical squad over unprofessional conduct"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"m#msg-f:1740506046931936748\" class=\"mail-message expanded\">\n<div class=\"mail-message-header spacer\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">Commissioner of Police in Osun, Mr Olawale Olokode, has ordered the immediate disbandment of his Surveillance Squad because of unprofessional conduct by its members.<\/div>\n<div class=\"mail-message-content collapsible zoom-normal mail-show-images \" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<div class=\"clear\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Police spokesperson in the state, SP Yemisi Opalola, made this known in Osogbo in a statement issued on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe dissolution is with immediate effect and all personnel attached to the squad are to report to the State Headquarters for redeployment.<\/p><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\u201cInvestigations have commenced at the State\u2019s Criminal Investigation Department over complaints of unprofessional conduct exhibited by personnel of the squad,\u2019\u2019 she stated.<\/p>\n<p>Opalola stated also that the disbandment would serve as deterrent to other tactical squads as the Command, under Olokode would not tolerate or condone any act unbecoming of police officers.<\/p><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\nIn the statement, Olokode enjoined Osun residents to rekindle their trust in the police, saying they are committed to giving the state improved services that will stand the test of time.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"mail-message-footer spacer collapsible\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Related Posts generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Commissioner of Police in Osun, Mr Olawale Olokode, has ordered the immediate disbandment of his Surveillance Squad because of unprofessional conduct by its members.
