{"id":98390,"date":"2022-08-19T21:11:14","date_gmt":"2022-08-19T20:11:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=98390"},"modified":"2022-08-19T21:11:14","modified_gmt":"2022-08-19T20:11:14","slug":"terrorists-release-another-four-abducted-train-passengers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/news\/terrorists-release-another-four-abducted-train-passengers\/","title":{"rendered":"Terrorists release another four abducted train passengers"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>The abductors of the March 28 Abuja-Kaduna train passengers have released another four abductees.<\/p>\n<p>Among those released by the terrorists were the oldest victim, 90-year-old Mama Halimatu Atta; her daughter, Adama Atta Aliyu; a Sokoto indigene, Alhaji Modin Modi Bodinga; and Mohammed Sani Abdulmaji (M.S Ustaz).<\/p>\n<p>The release of the abducted train passengers was confirmed by the Publisher of Desert Herald Newspaper, Tukur Mamu, on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>Mamu disclosed that Aliyu appeared in the last video released by the terrorists, protesting and challenging her abductors and lamenting the government\u2019s failure to secure their release.<\/p>\n<p>He said all the four released victims were in his Kaduna office on Friday afternoon immediately after they were released to thank him for his past efforts.<\/p><\/div>\n<div>\nMamu, who is the media consultant to a popular Islamic cleric, Sheikh Gumi, further called on the Federal Government to intensify efforts to secure the release of the remaining 23 abductees, saying their condition in the forest is pathetic.<\/p>\n<p>He added: \u201cThis is to alert the Federal Government and especially the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) that I can confirm through credible information at my disposal that if urgent action is not taken to immediately secure the release of the youngest victim of the train attack, a 21-year-old Azurfa Lois John, the abductors as they have done in the case of Leah Sharibu are planning to marry her any moment from now.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOne of the top commanders is said to be in love with her. This important information should be treated with the urgency it deserves.<\/p><\/div>\n<div>\n\u201cEven though I know that releasing this information will not only unsettle her immediate family and loved ones but Nigerians as a whole, it is necessary to do so to avoid the repeat of Leah Sharibu\u2019s case.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI advise CAN in particular not to politicised this issue or reduce it to mere press releases as I have seen in the past but to work closely with relevant authorities to engage the abductors on her case as soon as possible before it is late.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI pray that in view of the uncertainties which are becoming alarming, the Federal Government will also act very fast to ensure the release of all the remaining victims,\u201d Mamu stated.<\/p><\/div>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Related Posts generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The abductors of the March 28 Abuja-Kaduna train passengers have released another four abductees.
