Anambra State House Majority Leader, Dr Nnamdi Okafor, has reportedly slumped and died in South Africa.<\/p>\n
Okafor, who was representing the Awka South Constituency 1 in the Assembly prior to his death, it was gathered was in a\u00a0 legislative retreat with his colleagues in the Assembly in South Africa.<\/p>\n
The medical doctor and pharmacist by training\u00a0 doubled as the the Majority Leader of the House.<\/p>\n
A senior officer in the assembly, who pleaded anonymity, because he\u00a0 has not been authorised to announce the death, confirmed the incident to our correspondent.<\/p>\n
He said, \u201cMy brother, that\u2019s how we heard it. It\u2019s true. Good morning.\u201d<\/p>\n
Another anonymous source said, \u201cHe was said to have slumped in a hotel at Sandton City Johannesburg, South Africa on Tuesday, and was confirmed dead hours later.<\/p>\n
A Facebook forum, APGA Interactive Forum , that published the lawmakers demise read : \u201cTragedy! Majority Leader, Anambra state House of Assembly, Hon Nnamdi Okafor is dead. He died in South Africa.<\/p>\n
\u201cNews from Johannesburg says he slumped and died. He was in South Africa along with other House of Assembly members for legislative retreat.”<\/p>\n
