{"id":98663,"date":"2022-08-27T10:51:29","date_gmt":"2022-08-27T09:51:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=98663"},"modified":"2022-08-27T10:51:29","modified_gmt":"2022-08-27T09:51:29","slug":"yakubu-maikyau-sworn-in-as-new-nba-president","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/other-news\/yakubu-maikyau-sworn-in-as-new-nba-president\/","title":{"rendered":"Yakubu Maikyau Sworn In As New NBA President"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"m#msg-f:1742303061033018870\" class=\"mail-message expanded\">\n<div class=\"mail-message-header spacer\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">The newly elected President of Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Mr Y.C Maikyau was on Friday sworn in following the expiration of Olumide Akpata-led administration.<\/div>\n<div class=\"mail-message-content collapsible zoom-normal mail-show-images \" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<div class=\"clear\">\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Maikyau, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, SAN, who was sworn in as the 31st President of the NBA, won the election held earlier in July with 38,000 electoral votes.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>At the swearing-in ceremony held at Eko Hotel &amp; Suites, Maikyau appreciated God for bringing him thus far.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The new President also thanked his colleagues at YC Maikyau &amp; Co., his campaign team, as well as friends and associates who supported his candidacy.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Maikyau commended the outgone Akpata administration for the giant strides it recorded at the NBA in the last two years.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>He made a commitment to not only sustain the laudable achievements and projects of the Akpata administration but also to build on it.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>He extended a hand of fellowship to all those who contested the office of the NBA President with him, saying he and his team would be coming to tap from their indepth knowledge from time to time.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\u201cI saw all your great manifestos and your laudable proposals for the NBA. What has happened is that we are now the ones who have been given the responsibility.
