The Peoples\u2019 Democratic Party, Vice-Presidential Candidate , Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa has said his emergence as a running mate to the party presidential flag-bearer, Atiku Abubakar, is an act of God.<\/div>\n

Okowa stated this in an interview with select media professionals in Kano.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Since the selection of Ifeanyi Okowa as the running mate to Atiku Abubakar for the 2023 general election, it has generated controversy in the camp of Rivers State governor, Nyesom Wike , who thought he would be chosen.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
According to Okowa , all those that were considered during the selection period were well qualified as himself.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
“The issue of somebody not happy with my choice are all politics and this are going to be address sooner than later.\u2019\u2019<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u2018\u2019My rich track record in governance and as a grass-root politician that started his political career from the local government level in 1991, all came to play with what the presidential candidate considered.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u2018\u2019I believe my choice as a running mate is the best for the party to win election come 2023,\u2019\u2019 Okowa said.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u2018\u2019 I am not saying this because I am his running mate , but honestly, Atiku is the best choice for the presidency job.\u2019\u2019<\/div>\n

\u2018\u2019Nigeria at this moment needs a presidential candidate with a wealth of experience, because the job is not for \u2018\u2019try and error\u2019\u2019.<\/p>\n
