{"id":98907,"date":"2022-09-04T01:19:52","date_gmt":"2022-09-04T00:19:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=98907"},"modified":"2022-09-04T02:06:10","modified_gmt":"2022-09-04T01:06:10","slug":"atiku-meets-pdp-governorship-candidates-plots-winning-strategy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/exclusive\/atiku-meets-pdp-governorship-candidates-plots-winning-strategy\/","title":{"rendered":"Atiku Meets PDP Governorship Candidates, plots Winning Strategy"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"m73449\" class=\"mail-message expanded\">\n<div class=\"mail-message-header spacer\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, on Saturday met with governorship candidates of the party from across the country.<\/div>\n<div class=\"mail-message-content collapsible zoom-normal \" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<div class=\"clear\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">The former Vice President alongside his running mate, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State, met with the candidates at his residence in Asokoro, Abuja.Those in attendance were governorship candidates from Kaduna, Plateau, Katsina, Lagos, Niger, Kano, Sokoto, Delta, Yobe, Jigawa, Nasarawa, Kwara, Benue, Borno, Ebonyi and Zamfara states.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting, which held behind closed doors, lasted for more than an hour.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">After it ended, Atiku and the Governorship candidates declined to grant an interview to the press.However, Chairman of the PDP Governorship Candidates Forum and PDP Governorship Candidate in Kaduna State, Isah Ashiru, said the meeting was to formally congratulate Atiku and themselves.<\/p>\n<p>He said they discussed extensively as a family on a wide range of issues.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\n<p>Asked if the current rift between Atiku and Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State was part of the discussion, Ashiru said no.<\/p>\n<p>But on Wike\u2019s call for the resignation of the PDP National Chairman, Iyorchia Ayu, Ashiru said due process must be followed.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"mail-message-footer spacer collapsible\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Related Posts generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, on Saturday met with governorship candidates of the party from across the country.
