{"id":99057,"date":"2022-09-08T11:20:30","date_gmt":"2022-09-08T10:20:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=99057"},"modified":"2022-09-08T11:20:30","modified_gmt":"2022-09-08T10:20:30","slug":"fg-to-states-lgs-meet-your-responsibilities-to-nysc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/news\/fg-to-states-lgs-meet-your-responsibilities-to-nysc\/","title":{"rendered":"FG To States, LGs: Meet Your Responsibilities To NYSC"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>Federal government has urged states and local governments, including other stakeholders in the country to provide their statutory responsibilities for the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC)<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) minister, Alhaji Muhammad Musa Bello, stated this\u00a0 while declaring open, the 2022 NYSC national governing board meeting with the 36 chairmen of the NYSC state governing boards including FCT held in Abuja.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>He said the non-performance of some stakeholders is adversely impeding the effective performance of the Scheme.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The minister who was represented by the Chairman, NYSC FCT governing board and mandate secretary, Hajia Hadiza Muhammed Kabir said NYSC is a strategic National institution which has continued to remain relevant by harnessing the potentials of corps members for national development.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\u201cMy administration has approved the construction of a new Permanent Orientation Camp in Kwali, while a new Secretariat Complex is also underway in pursuance of this administration\u2019s determination to ease the operations of the Scheme in the FCT.\u201d<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\u201cI have also issued a directive against the prevalent challenge of Corps Members within the FCT to reduce the prevalent challenge of corps rejection which is of a great challenge to the Management of the Scheme.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\u201cMay I reiterate that the NYSC Scheme is the responsibility of Governments at all levels and must not be in the care of only one,\u201d the FCT minister said.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>In his goodwill message, the minister for Youth and Sports Development, Mr Sunday Dare whose address was read by Malam Jafar Musa added that the contributions of the NYSC to national growth since inception, especially in the areas of health, agriculture, infrastructural development, education, national unity and among others cannot be over-emphasised.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>In his vote of thanks, the NYSC director-general, Brigadier General Muhammad Kaku Fadah commended the state governments that have been performing their statutory responsibilities to the Scheme while he also appealed to others to put in more efforts.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Related Posts generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Federal government has urged states and local governments, including other stakeholders in the country to provide their statutory responsibilities for the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Minister of the Federal&hellip;<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on wp_trim_excerpt --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on wp_trim_excerpt --><!-- AddThis Related Posts generic via filter on wp_trim_excerpt --><\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":99058,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_lmt_disableupdate":"","_lmt_disable":"","footnotes":""},"categories":[5],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-99057","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-news"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v26.8 -
