{"id":99671,"date":"2022-09-25T11:44:18","date_gmt":"2022-09-25T10:44:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=99671"},"modified":"2022-09-25T11:44:18","modified_gmt":"2022-09-25T10:44:18","slug":"nscdc-settles-6-years-promotion-arrears-others","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/news\/nscdc-settles-6-years-promotion-arrears-others\/","title":{"rendered":"NSCDC Settles 6 Years Promotion Arrears, Others"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"m#msg-f:1744935111029671099\" class=\"mail-message expanded\">\n<div class=\"mail-message-header spacer\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Commandant-General, Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC), Dr Ahmed Audi, says the welfare of personnel of the corps has continued to receive major boost under his administration.<\/div>\n<div class=\"mail-message-content collapsible zoom-normal mail-show-images \" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<div class=\"clear\">\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Audi said this in Abuja that efforts were being made clear the backlog of promotion arrears of about six years.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\u201cPeople were hanging ranks but were not getting the commensurate pocket anointing that is equivalent to the rank.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\u201cSo we started working on it and God helped us Mr President approved the payment of four years salary arrears, which we did, remaining two years.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\u201cWe are waiting for the balance and as soon as we get the balance, we will pay those that are involved.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\u201cWe have also introduced some welfare packages in terms of providing housing for our staff.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\u201cWe have conducted ground-breaking ceremony for our personnel houses through mortgage,\u201d Audi said.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The NSCDC boss further said the corps had commenced payment of insurance claims like group accident insurance to personnel who sustained injuries in operations resulting in permanent deformity.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>He also said that payment of compensation to families of personnel who died in active service had commented under the group life insurance.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\u201cFor Group life insurance, we have paid over N200 million through the Office of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation, which for the past seven years has not been done.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\u201cStaff morale has been well boosted and that is why perhaps you now see that there is higher productivity.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\u201cI didn\u2019t hold the statistics but I think so far within this one year, if I will be correct, I think we have given cheques to over 100 people.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\u201cThey are from two of the benefits, that is Group Personnel Accident and Group life insurance.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\u201cNow the group accident are those ones that as a result of their involvement in operation, their duties, they experienced injuries, so we need to compensate them.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\u201cThey are more than 200 especially those who are in main operation, those who have been going out, those who are in Niger Delta, those who are in the Northeast, those who are involved in joint operations with the military,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<div id=\"m_-6461878286668074214ymail_android_signature\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"mail-message-footer spacer collapsible\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Related Posts generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Commandant-General, Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC), Dr Ahmed Audi, says the welfare of personnel of the corps has continued to receive major boost under his administration.
