{"id":99722,"date":"2022-09-26T21:33:24","date_gmt":"2022-09-26T20:33:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=99722"},"modified":"2022-09-26T21:33:24","modified_gmt":"2022-09-26T20:33:24","slug":"kidnappers-demand-n50m-threaten-to-kill-sisters-newborn","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/news\/kidnappers-demand-n50m-threaten-to-kill-sisters-newborn\/","title":{"rendered":"Kidnappers demand N50m, threaten to kill sisters, newborn"},"content":{"rendered":"<div dir=\"auto\">Terrorists that kidnapped three sisters, including a pregnant housewife in Kaduna State, have threatened to kill their hostages for failure to pay N50m demanded by them as ransom.<\/p>\n<p>The pregnant housewife, Zainab, gave birth in the terrorists\u2019 den.<\/p>\n<p>The family, who gave the hint in Kaduna on Monday, appealed to the government as well as good spirited individuals to come to their aid, adding that they were able to raise N6.5m, which was rejected by the terrorists.<\/p>\n<p>The terrorists had in July 17, 2022 kidnapped the three sisters at their Mando residence in Igabi Local Government Area of the state, while they were taking care of their sick mother.<\/p><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Kabir Yusuf, brother to the victims, who\u2019s also the main negotiator, had begged the abductors, saying that the family had raised N6.5m but was rejected.<\/p>\n<p>Yusuf said, \u201csince the kidnap, we have been negotiating with them. The terrorists initially demanded for N140 million but we pleaded with them that we are poor people. So, they reduced it to N100m. We pleaded with them further and they later reduced it to N50m and threatened that if we don\u2019t have the N50m ready, we should not call them again.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy sisters lamented to me on Sunday that they were being mistreated and that the bandits commander want to leave the camp and may not return until after a while. So, we should talk to them.<\/p><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\n\u201cBut I told them that we have sold everything we have but what we raised is not tangible and we don\u2019t have anything to sell again they started crying and I broke down weeping too.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNow, the disturbing development is that, on Sunday, when I spoke to the kidnappers, I pleaded with them to release my sisters and the new baby, that we have only been able to raise N6.5million. But, they started insulting me.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey said if we don\u2019t bring N50m in the next two days, they will kill my sisters and the new baby.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are appealing to the Federal Government, Kaduna state government, charity organisations, philanthropists and well spirited individuals to assist us in securing their release.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe don\u2019t want anything to happen to them.
