{"id":99793,"date":"2022-09-29T09:09:58","date_gmt":"2022-09-29T08:09:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=99793"},"modified":"2022-09-29T09:09:58","modified_gmt":"2022-09-29T08:09:58","slug":"3-policemen-others-burnt-to-death-in-kebbi-bullion-van-accident","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/news\/3-policemen-others-burnt-to-death-in-kebbi-bullion-van-accident\/","title":{"rendered":"3 Policemen, Others Burnt To Death In Kebbi Bullion Van Accident"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>The Kebbi Police Command has confirmed the death of six people including three policemen in a multiple accident on Tuesday along Argungu-Birnin Kebbi road in the state.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The Spokesman of the command, SP Abubakar Nafi\u2019u, said in a statement in Birnin Kebbi.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\u201cThe accident occurred when a Carina E car, carrying Jerri cans of PMS was suspected to have been pursued by a Nigeria Custom Service patrol team from Birnin Kebbi.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\u201cOn getting to Jeda village, the Carina E car had a head on collusion with the Bullion van, as a result, bursting into flames and consumed three other cars.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\u201cConsequently, a total of five vehicles and one motorcycle were burnt to ashes.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\u201cSix people including three policemen also died in the inferno, while five other people and three policemen sustained various degree of injuries and were rushed to Federal Medical Center, Birnin Kebbi for medical attention,\u201d he said.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Mr Nafi\u2019u said that the Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Magaji-Kontagora, had visited the accident scene.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\u201cHe prayed the Almighty Allah to grant the lives of the departed souls an eternal rest and give their families the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\u201cMagaji-Kontagora is also assuring members of the public that a thorough investigation will be carried out to unravel the circumstances surrounding the unfortunate incident,\u201d he added.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Related Posts generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Kebbi Police Command has confirmed the death of six people including three policemen in a multiple accident on Tuesday along Argungu-Birnin Kebbi road in the state.
