Fugitive James Ibori's sister, Christie Ibori-Ibie, and his mistress, Udoamaka Okonkwo have been sentenced to five years each in a British prison.

Ibori-Ibie was guilty on all 9 counts.

This is sequel to a guilty verdict by a jury last week for money laundering and mortgage fraud.

Ibori's personal assistant, bimpe Pogoson was however discharged by the Southwark Court in London.

Before sentencing, counsel to the convicts asked Judge Cris Hardy to temper justice with mercy, maintaining that the ladies were manipulated by Ibori. But the plea did not fly.
