Jonathan: S/W Endorsement Best Decision for Nigeria-GSG
The unanimous decision taken by the South West stakeholders Forum of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to give total support to the presidency of Dr. Gooluck Jonathan in the 2011 elections ,has been described as the best and most popular decision taken so far in the political turf of the Yoruba nation, since the beginning of the current political dispensation, the Goodluck Support Group (GSG) declared in Ibadan Saturday.
With the decision, the Yorubas have again proved to be the most vibrant, focused and united race taking their pride of place as the hub of political development of Nigeria.
According to a statement jointly signed by the Coordinator of the Oyo State chapter of the group, Mr Dare Adeleke and its Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Kehinde Olaosebikan , the leaders of the People’s Democratic Party in the South West have confirmed to be worthy leaders in tandem with the genuine wishes and aspirations of the overwhelming majority of their people.
“We wholeheartedly welcome and commend the unanimous decision taken at the stakeholders forum of the People’s Democratic Party. Clearly , it is the most pragmatic, soothing, uniting and objective decision taken so far since 1999 when we began the current political dispensation by the frontline political leaders of the south west. It is the best and most popular so far. It is very pleasing.”
The group commended the entire leadership of the party in the region with special reference to the former President and Chairman of Board of Trustees of the party, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo whom , the statement said has “ done the race proud with the right leadership being provided for the party at the regional and national levels.
The GSG said further that the direction shown by the south west PDP is a positive development for the country stressing that it has presented us greater assurance, that come 2011, Nigeria would have the best material for the post of the President, in person of Dr. Goodluck Jonathan who has already charted an achievable road map towards enhanced stability and growth in all sectors of the Nigerian economy.
