FORMER governor governor of Delta State, Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan, has been made a life member of the Niteshift Coliseum, at a grand house reception held in Lagos.

The event, a regular features of the club, was organised by coliseum in-house members, led by its governor, Caleb Olumese.

The event was mixtures of interaction and entertainment, as guests took time to socialite, network and bear their mind out to the former governor, who is also an aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at the forthcoming governorship rerun in the state, on the poor state of things in the state.

In his response, Dr Uduaghan explained reasons for some of the decisions he took while at the Government House and solicit for support in the forthcoming governorship rerun in the state next year.

Uduaghan said he was shocked to find out how consultants connived with officials of the state to defraud the state government, a situation, he said, had made the state indebted.

The candidate said before his removal by the appellate court in Benin, Edo State, his government had made a 50-year plan for each of the communities in the state in a single document.

The former governor said that he had already awarded a contract for the construction of 16 model secondary schools which would later be increased, adding that he also employed 5,000 teachers and increase their salaries in rural area by 12 per cent and 15 per cent with those in riverine areas.

He said the state was now one of the safest place to live, as most movies were now shot in Asaba, because of its security advantages.
