Shekarau Frowns at Incessant Bomb Explotion
Governor Ibrahim Shekarau has frown at the incessant bomb blast in some parts of the country, calling on the attention of the federal government to expedite action in fishing out and punishing the perpetrators of the acts.
The governor who was at the National hospital Abuja on Monday to symphasized with victims of the recent bomb blast at the Mogadishu Barracks popularly known as Abacha Barracks lamented that this barbaric attitudes of some unpatriotic people is not only consuming the lives of the citizens but also denting the image of the country globally.
He said that he was in the hospital to register his concern, sympathy and that of the Kano people as well as to offer special prayers to the victims and condole with the families of those that lost their lives as a result of the sad event which was spearheaded deliberately by some unpatriotic people, saying it is a matter of concern of one and all in the country.
Governor Shekarau explained that Nigeria needs God fearing, just and dedicated leaders that will put attention in making sure that things are moving in the right directions and in the interest of general development of all in the country, saying that this can only be achieved through ensuring that credible people are vote in to power at all levels of governance.
He then used the opportunity to appreciate the quality of services being delivered by the National hospital Abuja as well as the teaming professionals and equipments present in the hospital, saying with little improvements our citizens doesn’t need to go to abroad for medical treatment because it can be done here.
Responding, the Head of Department of the Management information services of the National Hospital, Dr. Tayo Haastrup expressed appreciation to the governor and members of his entourage for the sympathy visit, saying it is an indication of heartfelt concern by a leader.
He revealed that since the time of the occurrence of the sad incident, governor Shekarau was the first governor in the whole of the country that pay this type of the visit to the victims of the recent unfortunate bomb blast.
Daily Triumph gathered that among the victims of the bomb blast, five were brought to the National Hospital Abuja with various degrees of injuries in which one has since been discharged, while the remaining victims were hospitalized in different hospitals across the federal capital territory while some died.
