Vandals destroy Ladoja's Billboards at Ife Road
Erected Billboards of the Accord governorship candidate in Oyo State Senator Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja has been destroyed by vandals along New Ife Road, Ibadan. This unfortunate event happened in the early hours of Saturday morning the 22nd January, 2011. According to Chief Abel Aborisade, the Egbeda Local Government Chairman of Accord, made a report on the incident which he noted was a bad sign for party politics in the state.
The Accord chieftain said that the factional leader of the banned National Union of the Road Transport Workers (NURTW) Mukaila Lamid aka Auxiliary in company of thugs in two buses with the caretaker chairman of the council Honourable Kolawole Oke did the vandalisation of the billboard. The Accord chieftain and the Secretary Alhaji Gahizah Oyedeji in a signed petition to the Police called on the security authority to visit the accused people for questioning. They said that if these ban of thugs are not checkmated there may be a break down of law and order in the state.
In another development, the Director-General of Senator Rashidi Ladoja, Honourable Adeolu Adeleke has called on the people of Oyo State not to be bothered by the report carried by a local FM in Ibadan that any party that does not present a presidential candidate will not take part in the April, 2011 general elections. The former Speaker of Oyo State House of Assembly called on media men to always crosscheck their information before going to press. He noted that one misinformation on the part of a journalist may set the whole state on fire which must not happen.
Honourable Adeleke commended party followers for their patience and steadfastness. He said that the in flock into Accord is a testimony that the Party has what it takes to move the pacesetter state forward. On Senator Ladoja, Honourable Adeleke declared that with him the State is sure of an unprecedented growth.
