Dr Abiye Precious Sekibo, the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) governorship flagbearer in Rivers State is certainly so fulfilled, at least, going by what responses that have come his way since declaring to contest the governorship seat in the state on the platform of the ACN.

Given the mammoth crow that witnessed the commissioning of his gubernatorial campaign office in the GRA axis of Port Harcourt on Thursday, February 10, 2011, the candidate says he is overwhelmed and cannot do enough to appreciate party faithfuls and Rivers people for making his day, a proof that his ambition and vision to rid Rivers State of what seems a perpetual marginalization are not anchored on superficial or shallow hope.

To this end, Dr Sekibo expresses deep gratitude to all who graced the event which also marked the inauguration of his governorship campaign organization in the state for the 2011 elections slated for April.

“I’m very grateful to you all”, he said, all smiles but humbled by the obvious flow of the “tide” in the expected direction. “I’m indeed grateful and will remain so for a long time to come”.

He reiterated his earlier promises that an ACN led government in the state will be all inclusive and render due services to the state and its people.

Dr Sekibo observed that the horizon is getting clearer for all to see the handwriting on the wall in order to make decisions that would not be regretted afterwards, adding that the band wagon of positive change represented by the ACN still has ample room to accommodate those who still wander on other side of the divide.

He charged all to get on board the ACN and join hands in the rebuilding of Rivers State to meet the taste of all its citizens and residents.

The former transport minister and  SSG in Rivers state expressed the conviction that come May 29, 2011, Government House in Port Harcourt would be occupied by the ACN led by him and a new lease of life would be experienced by all and sundry in Rivers State.
