Blame Akala for the insecurity in Oyo State

The Ladoja Campaign Organisation has condemned in strong terms the unnecessary shedding of blood and promotion of violence as witnessed at Olomi Area of Ibadan. ACCORD chieftain, Chief Segun Oyewole noted that the Oyo State government under Governor Adebayo Alao-Akala has no legal right to interfer in the affairs of the National Union Of Road Transport Workers (NURTW). He alleged that Governor Akala’s interference is connected to his sinister plan to use some members of the Union to perpetuate evil during the April, 2011 general elections.

The ACCORD chieftain noted that just yesterday Barrister Michael Lana alerted the people of Oyo state of the hand twisting political style of Governor Alao-Akala. He decried that continued blood letting and the lukewarm attitude of the security organisations towards the state sponsored violence. Chief Oyewole said that the law must take it’s cost now especially as the problem may role into the election period.

Chief Segun Oyewole declared that governance is a science that involves the management of people, resources within a period of time for the benefit of the citizens. But, he said that it is unfortunate that Oyo state has fallen into the hands of illiterates who are ruling the enlightened people. He further stated that it has never been this bad for the pace setter state to have the calibre of people ruling the state.

The ACCORD chieftain stated that the issue of security is paramount to the development of the state. He declared that with the coming of Senator Rashidi Ladoja peace will return to the state. He advised the people of the state to vote en mass for all ACCORD candidates in the April, 2011 general elections in Oyo state as they are all men and women of proven integrity and God fearing.

Meanwhile, the campaign train of the ACCORD will today Friday 25th February, 2011 stop for a while at Ido Motor park, in Ido local government area. According to Pa. Hassan Okunade and Alhaji Rahman Alayande respectively said that the rally will start at 10 a.m. through motorcade around the area. The local government chairman and secretary said that Senator Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, Honourable Bayo Lawal, the Oyo South senatorial candidate; Honourable Oluyemi Taiwo (ACCORD) representing Ido/Ibarapa East federal constituency in the House of Representative formerly of the PDP; the ACCORD national secretary Honourable Nureni Adisa; the state chairman of the party, Alhaji Bashiru Lawal; Honourable Femi Akande Matthew and new members from other parties who deem it fit to join the ACCORD movement in Oyo state are expected to grace the occasion.
