Elechi becomes ICPC's New Chairman

Francis Ugochukwu Elechi has been appointed the new Chairman of the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission, ICPC.

Elechi, a Port Harcourt based lawyer is a member of the Institute of Chattered Mediators and Conciliators.

He takes over from Mrs. Rose Abang Wushishi, (AIG rtd) who was in acting capacity following the sacking of Dr. Uriah Angulu who was embroiled in a rift with the National Judicial Institute, NJI.

Mr. Elechi’s appointment would have to be confirmed by the Senate.
