Osun House of Assembly Members, SSS, in show of shame at Immigration Headquarters Abuja

Security guards attached to members of the Osun State House of Assembly ( OSHA), caused a stir at the Nigeria Immigration Service(NIS), headquarters in Abuja on Tuesday, when they brandished 9mm handguns attempting to shoot without provocation.

The security guards who are officers of the State Security Service (SSS) accompanied two female politicians in a convoy of three saloon cars and two Sub urban vehicles SUV's. They appeared to be principal officers of the state's assembly.

It was learnt that shortly after finishing their business of the day at the Immigration office, at about 11am, the convoy moved few meters from the main entrance and stopped for no rationale reason.

In the full glare of the public and applicants for Nigeria International passports, a lady in dark suit, without any provocation, brought out her 9 mm handgun, popped it out her window and pulled the trigger. She was seated in the SUV with registration number, OS 608 AO 1.

At the second pull of the trigger the hand gun again jammed, then she quickly retrieved it and flashed a smile at bewildered onlookers, who scampered for cover.

At this arrogant and primitive show, a female applicant who told our correspondent she flew in from Dublin, Ireland ,to procure a Nigeria passport , approached one of the male SSS officers in the same car, and expressed shock at what just happened. He apologized with a hand gesture.

However, even though their vehicle tag gave them away, our correspondent asked the male security personnel from where they were, the male SSS personnell, who hand his handgun in full glare, refused to respond.

Although Pointblanknews.com could not ascertain the indenties of the two female politicians, they rode in a vehicle with tag, OSHA.

They blocked the exit of the Immigration headquarters for over ten minutes until a visibly angry senior officer of the service, who was about to leave the premises, walked up to them and ordered the convoy to leave .

The Nigerian lady who lives in Dublin said " this is a shame. How could you, a government official come to another government agency and behave like this. She pulled the trigger for no reason. They were blocking the exit and still tried to intimidate Nigerians, why. This can only happen here"

Another bewildered lady, who gave her name as Tolu and said she lives in the USA, in Nigeria for vacation said " I came here to see if I can get a Nigeria passport, it was really shocking. We were just standing by the main entrance when these guys packed, and before we knew it this lady brought out what looked a 9 mm handgun and pulled the trigger. She did it twice, but apparently the stuff jammed. She was smiling...we all ran for cover. As this drama played out the female bosses they accompanied enjoyed the show of shame"
