Mr. Chinedu Orji, son of Abia State Governor, T.A Orji has sharply denied any altercation with any member of the Armed Forces as earlier reported describing the report as the handiwork of failed politicians in the state.
Orji told Pointblanknews.com that the report as carried by pointblanknews.com and other news outlets are pure rumors fabricated by Politicians who have long lost their bearings in the state and are desperate to reduce the estimation of the current political leadership in Abia state.
“I did not have any fight with any military man and I was never beaten to a coma. I am hale and hearty and strong enough to withstand all the political machinations of all the enemies of the State. The story as reported by pointblanknews is not correct.
Orji stated said he ordinarily would have ignored the report but for the embarrassments it has caused his father who has received several calls, he deemed it necessary to clear the air and set the records straight.
“Ordinarily, I would have ignored the report because I know it is sponsored by expired politicians but I decided to react because of the embarrassments it has caused my father.”
“My father has received many calls over that report and I strongly feel it is high time I put the records straight and declare once and for all that I was never beaten, arrested or flown overseas for any injuries as a result of any beaten from any soldier or soldiers and I am not in coma.”
Orji continued, “I am a law abiding citizen and I will can never be involved in such a show of shame with any military personnel let alone a civilian. I don’t drink, I don’t hang out, you can never see me anywhere other places where issues concerning how to develop Abia State are discussed.”
He added that in the past, rumors had spread round the state that he was arrested and detained in London for being found with £3 Billion, saying “how could I have even carried £3 Billion Pounds in the aircraft? This is exactly what I am saying that some failed politicians in Abia now thrive on rumors and they will fail.”
