Congratulations! Super Falconets

The Federal Government wishes to congratulate the Super Falconets for qualifying for the finals of the on-going FIFA under-20 Women’s World Cup in Germany by recording a significant victory over Columbia yesterday.

Government notes with pride the exceptional Nigerian spirit of resilience exhibited by the girls to defend the lone goal scored by the team in the first two minutes of the 90-minute encounter.  

The commitment to national duty, sincerity of purpose, discipline  and  dedication so far demonstrated by the Super Falconets  in the competition are worthy of emulation by every Nigerian assigned with a national responsibility.  

As the team and officials prepare to meet Germany at the Finals on Sunday, the Federal Government calls on the team to remain focused, committed and professional as all Nigerians look forward to receiving the Cup in Abuja.

 While government appreciates the support and prayers of all Nigerians, especially the Supporters Club and the Nigerian community in Germany, it is important to maintain the momentum until the job is successfully executed on Sunday.
