Imo State Youths ask God for Araraume in 2011

This is to inform the general Public that a formidable youth pressure group has been formed in Owerri, the Imo State capital. The name is Imo State Youths Ask God For Araraume – ISYAGA. In its first meeting at the residence of their Patron, Citizen Ikenna Samuelson Iwuoha, ISYAGA agreed unanimously that Imo State presently have drifted from stability to instability due to the blind leadership of Governor Ikedi Godson Ohakim. The group which draws its strength from her large followership in all the 27 LGAs in the state maintained that Governor Ikedi Ohakim does not deserve any second tenure, especially now that the EFCC have concluded its investigation on the activities of the Governor in the state.

In a media statement signed by its President, Comrade Ugochukwu Chukwuemeka and Youth Leader, Comrade Chikwado Obi, the group on behalf of all Imo Youths after due Consultation Cautioned the State Governor against insisting on going ahead to contest the governorship election in 2011 despite his very bad performance in Office and corrupt practices. Comrade Ugochukwu Chukwuemeka stated that the group has x-rayed other governorship aspirants and candidates jostling to contest next year’s election but discovered that none of them marched the leadership dexterity of Distinguished Senator Ifeanyi Godwin Araraume hence they adopted his name as their Slogan. Therefore to assist in boosting the chances of the peoples Governor (Araraume) come 29 th May 2011, ISYAGA have commenced intensive and vigorious LGA sensitization of Imo electorates on the need to turn out enmasse in January 2011 voters registration exercise. The group insisted that it is not enough for Imo People to stay in their shops, stores, offices, homes farms, villages etc to complain of Governor Ohakim’s Mis-management of Leadership. Rather, Imo People should March forward boldly to demonstrate their complain by obtaining the INEC voters card which they will use to demonstrate their anger by voting out Ohakim. In his own comment, the Secretary of the group Comrade Chidiebere Onyenekwe called on the people of Imo State to file behind them to make sure that the sensitization campaign to ginger Imo People on voters registration is a success. They group also commended their patron Citizen Ikenna Samuelson for boldly and courageously exposing the fraudulent activities of the Ohakim government and prayed Almighty God to give them the courage to follow his footsteps.
