His Excellency Gov. Godswill Akpabio and First Lady He Ogbonganwan Ekaette Unoma Akpabio to visit Houston, USA
The Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State, His Excellency Chief (Dr.) Godswill Akpabio will be honored at a reception in Houston, Texas by the Akwa Ibom Diaspora Network (AIDN) on Saturday, August 6, 2011. The Governor will be accompanied by his wife, Her Excellency Mrs. Ekaette Unoma Akpabio, the First Lady of Akwa Ibom State and a strong delegation comprising key state government officials, business and social leaders. All citizens and friends of Akwa Ibom State resident in the United States, Canada, and in the continents of Europe, South and Central America and Asia and other countries around the world are cordially invited.
Gov. Godswill Akpabio will deliver what is expected to be a first global 'State of Akwa Ibom Address' and host a Town Hall meeting with Akwa Ibom citizens and other attendees. Other highlights of the event include speeches and presentations on the newly adopted statewide industrialization policy, Akwa Ibom Rural Healthcare Initiative, awards and cultural presentation. It is also expected that the First Lady, Mrs. Ekaette Unoma Akpabio, will formally launch the Family Life Enhancement Initiative (FLEI) and Uyai Iban in the Americas during the visit.
