Nduka, the Master of Blackmail by Yinka Odumakin
I have just read the tissue of lies posted by Nduka Obaigbena as a rejoinder to my petition against him to the anti-graft agency for investigation of his
questionable lifestyle.
True to his profession as a blackmail journalist,obaigbena told bare-faced lies
against my person on our encounter only once in his Ikoyi home.
I got a call from Mr Femi Falana sometime in 2009 that there was going to be a
meeting in Obaigbena's house to build media support for electoral reform in
Nigeria and that Prof Wole Soyinka would be at the meeting.
I arrived at the meeting to meet Mr Falana,Mr Kayode Komolafe,Uncle Sam
Amuka,Alhaji Batagarawa(former minister),Wale Okunniyi,and Mr Ayo Opadokun.
The meeting was on the way when Asiwaju Bola Tinubu whom I did not know was even
going to be there came in with Mr Dele Alake (contrary to Obaigbena's claim that
I came with him).Prof Soyinka's apology was given to the meeting and he even
spoke briefly to the meeting on phone.
Nduka spoke first at the meeting saying that the efforts by CODER on the Uwais
Panel report was not going to achieve much because the group was linked to
Tinubu and that the PDP was against the recommendations of the panel.He added
that there was the need to bring some neutrality to the campaign.
He then suggested a Media conference on electoral reform to be hosted by
Vanguard and Thisday Newspapers.
There was a briefing from Alhaji Batagarawa on what his group(3G) was doing
before a committee comprising Nduka,Opadokun,Amuka and Alake was set up to
facilitate the conference.
We departed the meeting and never reconvened,at least to my knowledge.I have
never met Nduka since that night that we all departed.Neither have I spoken with
him on phone. therefore challenge this pathological liar to substantiate his spurious and
senseless allegation that I met him at any time ever since we left his house
that evening not to talk of having any conversation with him or make a demand
from him.May the hottest spot in hell,starting from hell on earth be reserved
for whoever lies on this between Nduka and I.
The only time my path would have crossed with that of this renowned blackmailer
was about three weeks ago when he contacted a Publisher in Abuja that he wanted
General Buhari at the Thisday Editorial Board.I was going to oblige his request
until the man told me Nduka even offered to bring his Jet to Abuja to take my
principal to and fro Lagos .I became uncomfortable at such desperation given
what I know of this legendary errand boy of the ruling party.During the 2007
elections,he was accused of collecting billions of Naira from the PDP which he
was to use to manipulate the media.
My fears were confirmed when I mentioned his request later that day and a highly
placed person in our structure told me to forget the hatchet man as he was out
to do a dirty job "he is somewhere within this Transcorp Hotel negotiating fees
with the PDP to do a poll that will give Jonathan over 60 per cent".
I called the publisher who gave me Nduka message and had texted me his number
that I would not call him.
It was therefore not surprising to me when he came out with his procured polls a
few days ago confirming what we already knew.
I look forward to meeting this dishonest fellow who escaped the long arms of law
in South Africa years back where he tried to export his criminal business
activities.
We shall see if he and his rag sheet that has been the bulettin of riggers in
Nigeria has any reputation that a serious court will award even N10 damages.
It is the tragedy of a nation that a man without any honour or integrity ,who
indeed should be in jail would attempt to muzzle honest Nigerians from airing
their views on his fraudulent polls.
