KALU’S TIRADE AGAINST ATIKU: NOT DECENT FOR OUR POLITICS.

BY: JACKSON STEPHEN LIBA

The recent vituperations by Orji Uzor Kalu as per the Leadership, Monday March 2 nd 2009, page 3 POT CALLING KETTLE BLACK is not decent politics and is not good at all for our democracy. The language did not fall short of gutter. Every decent person should shy  away from such gibberish. Anyone that aspires to be elected into an influential position should condemn that type of language. It must have been a mistake for the Abia citizenry to have elected such a person of short sightedness as their Governor.

From all indications, Orji Uzor Kalu is a blackmailer, but I will pick out his spelling mistakes first: desparadoes instead of desperado, customersman instead of customs man, duper in place of dupe.

Check in Column four line twenty one Vice Presidential candidate was miss spelt Vice Presdential and government onwed instead of government owned. Either Orji Uzor Kalu is careless, reckless or unintelligent or he is jester that he is truly. He is deficient of knowledge and is true, he didn’t graduate from University of Maiduguri .

Politics or democracy is suppose to be played with a certain level of tolerance, maturity and a measure of respect. It is not for any one type of politician. Orji Uzor Kalu is a gutter type. For those words to have come from him like “chameleonic, arrogant, haughty, corrupt, slippery, evasive, untrustworthy, clandestine, hawkish, devious, outlandish and snubbish oop!, snobbish – checkout that in the dictionary is more a description of Orji Uzor Kalu himself than Atiku Abubakar.

Respect and regard are important aspect for elders in Africa . The former Governor of Abia State, has no respect and regard for our seniors. He should not be given a chance again in the future political contest of our dear country. It is their loose type of mouths that make the political space unstable and irritable..

Therefore, Nigerians should be wary of Orji Uzor Kalu. His mother Excellency has called for cease fire, a few days after Orji Uzor Kalu fired  another  salvo at the former Vice President, but alas, his impudence didn’t allow him to shut up his month. He went to the press once more; castigating and insulting. If the Sun Newspaper is the first that invited Atiku Abubakar to chair the man of the Year ceremony, when the press asked why he, Orji Uzor Kalu didn’t attend, why not ‘No Comment” than to open up and insult?

Thank God, the Abia elders’ Forum has expressed worry over Kalu’s utterances as per Daily Trust Thursday march 5 th 2009, page 7 and I quote “the Abia Elders’ Forum (AEF) said it received with sadness the utterances of the former Governor of Abia State; on Former Vice- President, Atiku Abubakar. In a statement by its Publicity Director, Uchenna Kalu, the Forum apologized  to Atiku.

That is enough reason to predict and prophesy that Atiku Abubakar can still be President of Nigeria. The Abia Elders  see it when sitting, while Orji Uzor Kalu and others  cannot see it standing on a tree.

The elders looked back at the role played by Atiku Abubakar in the past while Orji Uzor Kalu being daft and dumb couldn’t see. Just when Orji Uzor Kalu was struggling and fending for himself as a street student in Maiduguri in 1981, Atiku Abubakar was installed and turbaned as Turaki Adamawa at the age of 36 in Yola. The gap is so wide and it is incomparable. Nigerians should rise against such citizens like the former Governor. Was it not recently the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission went public to say he pocketed billions of allocations to his impoverished State.

Orji Uzor Kalu should be in jail than parade our street as a politician. The POT CALLING KETTLE BLACK which he anchored  in the Leadership, Monday March 2 nd 2009, page 3 is not politics, but a street language from an untrained child.
