Mr. Nwokoye’s Part 2, My Part 4b

I do not think that I am dumb as to tell Mr. Nwokoye that Ngige is a thug if that is my position, do I know Mr. Nwokoye, NO. I have never met Mr. Nwokoye but as an Anambrarian that I have met online, I identified one key quality in him and that is his passion for Nigeria particularly Anambra State. I did not feel he is an extremist or very angry or bitter about anything otherwise I would not bother with him. I requested for his telephone number and he gave me the honours and I honoured him back by calling him, that’s the end of the story. If I needed to plan a coup or tell anyone how I feel about any particular person, I have my friends and guess what; no matter how many times I disagree with my friends, our personal discussions remain like that for life. Why do I need to tell Mr. Nwokoye my private feelings about anyone, who is he to me?
I called Mr. Nwokoye because I felt his position is not in sync with the political reality on the ground and I felt we could find a synergy that could establish something sensible between Nigeria and the diaspora, that’s all. I did not call him like I would call a friend to chart, one call is not enough for me to take him into absolute confidence and then start discussing my personal opinions or feelings.
Just for his information, I spoke with a few people the same time that I spoke with him and the discussion is actually building into positive results for the diaspora. My interest have been to convince my constituency (i.e. the diaspora) to take very important position in today’s Nigeria as we can make the difference, that is all I have been asking. Is this the reason that Mr. Nwokoye would get me involved in some cheap ridicule and market place you-said-I-said, I am suspicious of his game plan, I am watching.
I remember clearly that I told Mr. Nwokoye that our major difference is that I am a politician and that he is a critic. He can say things and walk away, he has nothing to loose but I am a part of the system. I do not think that there is anything difficult in it to explain anymore. If Mr. Nwokoye and his group of like-minds feel that they have the answers, that’s fine but definitely not the answers to the Nigerian problems.
Mr. Nwokoye must know that I am not obsessed with him but he represents the position most diasporas have on Nigeria. Most of us want the best country in the world but are not really helping towards achieving that, I have sighted so many examples and have painted so many scenarios, I do not want to waste my energy anymore, I cannot win them all but I am glad that there are diaspora brothers and sisters that understand my reasoning and they are cueing into the new vision. If Mr. Nwokoye is a handsome man which I hope he is, it is to the benefit of his wife, I am not gay.
My political travails with Governor Obi I never really wanted to make big political issue. The reason is that I do not want it to distract the main issues. What is the big deal that he threw me into police jail for a night? The idea was obviously to shut me up but did that happen, NO, let’s deal with the real issues rather than that. Thank God the Governor did not achieve his goals and that I came out the following day.
I accept that Governor Obi’s attitude has enabled people like me to activate some talents that we have never explored and may be would never have but that’s just it, what is in there for the masses? Honestly, I would rather prefer to have Governor Obi as efficient and effective as Governor Chime than me writing about him all the time as if he is deaf and dumb. I do not feel particularly fantastic having to defend myself from people like Mr. Nwokoye that have refused to see the point that I am making and gradually, Mr. Nwokoye is trying to begin to drag me into the terrible road of political true-to-god, I am bigger than that, with due respect.
My brother Mr. Nwokoye sees my political position as chameleonic, that is a statement made out of pure ignorance and I will forgive him. Politics for me is not about calling people names for calling sake. It is not about destroying every other person to have one man standing, if you have not done anything to warrant me calling you any names, I would not call you names. Because I am a politician, I can understand why certain decisions are made, though I may not agree with it but must not talk about it the way Mr. Nwokoye would because there are other areas we can make up the difference. Mr. Nwokoye should know that no one is perfect it does not make sense to over heat the polity unnecessarily.
I do find it unbelievable the way Mr. Nwokoye mentions Dr. Andy Uba’s name, he literally wants to call Dr. Andy Uba “that sh.t”, why does he have to feel like this about a fellow human, it is not healthy for Mr. Nwokoye. If he must know, Dr. Andy Uba, Igwebuike Anambra does not give a damn about him either; the feeling is mutual, can he not rest it then for his own health sake and his spiritual sanctity as I tend to believe he reads his bible?
BREAKING NEWS
I just got a call that Governor Obi attended a function, APGA function and started his normal swearing with the lives of his family; some people in the venue shouted in unison “ozokwa!!!?” (Again!!!?) and guess what, they left the man there and went away, who wants to listen to bull, they have heard that so many times before.
I am a better friend to justice and rule of law because I am taking practical steps that would make that achievable from the part of the world that I come from. Mr. Nwokoye’s approach to peace and development cannot work in the present day Nigeria. I recognise that if justice can ever be achieved, the people have to be set free from hunger and dependent on hand outs both from the local and international communities. So many people have been stripped of anything dignity and their lives do not have any values at all. Many of us have excelled in our chosen careers due to the opportunities that we have had in our new environments. There are so many of our people that are better than us yet do not have the opportunities that we have. Many people get into crime and become very angry with the society because they have been denied the opportunity to achieve their ambitions. I do not think that all criminals are professionally happy except the ones that see it as their calling; these unhappy ones would prefer alternative opportunities. They are into crime for survival. The problem with crime is that it is addictive. My position remains to engage the powers as friends so that we can work together in saving our people; I am desperate for us all to get on board. I do not agree to this idea of being a bloody selective critic like Mr. Nwokoye, it shows him off as biased.
I do not know what Mr. Nwokoye thinks but I am aware there was some “rambo style” display by some miscreants that had political hand writing all over it at Awka, I am not sleeping. I am also very aware that kidnappers and armed robbers have taken over our State. All these are happening due to the inability of the Governor to clamp down on crime. Someone may ask what the police is doing or be dumb enough to tell us that it is not the responsibility of the governor or that it is being perpetrated by the PDP, that’s all nonsense. If I am the governor of a State, no human being would have the guts to think of coming into my State to ferment trouble; if you try it, you will pay for it surely. Why did they not do that when Dr. C. C. Mbadinuju (Odera) was in charge? Why did they not do it when Dr. Chris Ngige was in charge? The crime situation in Nigeria has gone pass the responsibility of the police alone and all Nigerians know that, it is Nigeria and not the western world for God sake. Governor Obi thinks that buying an armoured car for the police means that the criminals will run away, very senseless thinking. Can Mr. Nwokoye and Governor Obi tell us how many times the armoured vehicles have been used to foil crime or arrest criminals? This is a typical Governor Obi mentality, doing what he thinks and not what will benefit the people. The police guys will just use the armoured vehicles to visit their girl friends every night. How many armoured vehicles did Odera buy and yet made Anambra the safest State in Nigeria at the time? The simple fact remain that Governor Obi is so disconnected with the reality and he is showing the people one finger in the air, if he does not care about the people that are around him, how can he care about the people he does not know? Governor Obi is not a gentle man; he is a wicked man.
I made my position very clear that I am not a mouth piece for Dr. Chris Ngige (Onwa Anambra) and that remains my position. I had to deal with the issues raised about him as to buttress my points.
Attack must not be via a dangerous weapon, thinking about it, the pen can destroy must faster than some dangerous weapons especially when it is deployed for the wrong reasons. When you attack the policies and the principles of a man, you are questioning all the compositions that makes the person, which is how we see things in Africa.
Thank God for Obama but it shall take us a little while to get there. You attacked Ngige, short and simple, just ask for forgiveness and may be he will fine you a he goat (mkpi) and public flogging, (not at Idengeli market) I hope he forgives you.
It will be difficult to say Obi has not done anything at all even if it is just the accreditation of the hospitals and buying of crash helmets for the okada riders, the next Governor can get on with getting the drugs. Obi has not told Anambra people what he did for us and until we see those things, 1% out of 100% is worse than dismal failure, it is more utter than utter.
