PDP’S WILD ORGY OVER IBEJU-LEKKI

On Saturday, June 20, 2009, a court ordered election into the vacant Ibeju Lekki House of Representatives seat was held. The result of that election, which was largely marred by violence and the traditional vote-snatching gimmicks that is reminiscent with the PDP was announced and the result gave the election to the PDP by 8,005 votes to the AD candidate’s 6,857. Even with the widespread malfeasance that characterized that election the leader of the AC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, whose party was disqualified from the race but who solicited for support for the AD candidate accepted the results and urged the AD to do so. He did this not because he was unmindful of the rotten tactics the PDP employed in that election but because he hoped the PDP would learn something from that magnanimity of thought.
But since the declaration of that result, the members of the PDP, from the national to the ward levels have practically declared a public holiday. In their traditional indecorous way of celebrating every electoral heist, they have gone on rampage with feelings and expectations that their pitiable electoral fortune in Lagos is on the rise. In an election, which the AC did not feature a candidate, they are celebrating their head off that somehow, their wishful thinking of making an in-road into Lagos is about be rewarded. They dance around the AC and interpret their modest electoral victory to mean that the nest of killers and the moth that is eating away the life of Nigeria is beginning to gain acceptance in Lagos . They even choose a very odd period to engage in this self-fooling revelry-when a Fashola regime that is irreversibly taking Lagos to the height no PDP man can ever imagine, is blazing in full throttle.
From that scum of a character who can never win a ward election in his native Abia State but who goes about in the funny apparel of the national chairman of the PDP, Vincent Ogbulafor to that shameless receiver of violently stolen mandate in Ekiti State, a rank impostor and electoral fraudster called Segun Oni, it was one big rendezvous. Who knows, they must have organized a week-long bash in that den of vices called the PDP national secretariat to celebrate that victory and this more than anything advertises the sparse characters that have ruined and wasted the resources and future of Nigerians for the past ten years. With 8,000 votes against the AD’s nearly 7,000 in a state of over 20 million inhabitants, it takes only an acutely frustrated mindset to launch the kind of orgy the men of straw that people the PDP engaged in last week. Their patronizing newspaper, which collaborates with them in electoral thievery, even obliged them with a flattering capture of what happened when it screamed, “Ibeju-Lekki: When PDP Vanquished AD/AC Alliance” and gave generous attention to the tom-foolery of different shades of PDP speculators who were clearly overwhelmed with joy that they are on their path to steal Lagos. It is obvious that the PDP is doing this wild orgy because of its belief that by hook or crook, no other party can win an election in a state they colonize and therefore believe that if they should win a watered down bye-election in Lagos , they must have been favorably rewarded by the gods. It is with this mindset that the PDP has completely criminalized the country’s electoral process and rendered it the most fraudulent electoral process in the world. Again, they know the value of Lagos and they rightly believe that a House of Representatives seat in Lagos is politically more precious than some state governments they have stolen under the cover of darkness and pitch-black anonymity. Both ways, they are right to celebrate and exhibit their long-held frustration at being rejected by Lagosians.
The rehabilitated PDP national chairman was so downright elated that he delved into the realm of confusion. Hear that boneless lackey, “It also successfully breaks the myth built around some cult personalities who have now been exposed as the proverbial empty vessels who make the loudest noise” and this is from a national chairman of a party who has not won even a ward election in his native Abia State . If the masker called Ogbulafor was comical, the grand receiver of stolen electoral mandate in Ekiti State , Segun Oni, a dour and colorless personality whose claim to electoral relevance lies in such fraudulent parody as cooking 19,000 from Ido Osi was silly. Any self-respecting character would have hidden behind the limelight after the putrid scam that happened in Ido Osi the other day but not Oni nor any of the shameless vermin that infest the country’s space today with howling breeds of criminal behaviors. Hear him, “the victory of the PDP candidate was an indication that the former Lagos State governor and his political surrogates had been rejected by the people of the state”. This is among other unprintable quaffing from that scoundrel who should be in prison for criminal manipulation of elections, now reading the sophisticated people of Lagos State, just few months after shamefully being sponsored by a bevy of ramparts to indulge in an open stealing of the electoral mandate of Dr. Fayemi in Ekiti State . When notable Nigerians warn that the death of the shame culture has been responsible for the near total destruction of the country, they certainly have characters like Segun Oni and his compatriots in the PDP in mind and they are not remorseful about this.
To the PDP chairman in Lagos State , a fellow that would make a baba sallah go green with his hilarious showings, ”It is a demonstration that the people of Lagos are getting tired of the AC and its propaganda. Lagosians are seeing what other people in neighboring state Ogun, Oyo, Ekiti and others are enjoying through the PDP”, although as is traditional with hare-brained dupe stars he made no attempt to outline such things. But a careful look at the states he mentioned and the states controlled by the PDP reveals that they were bound by the most dubious electoral scams mankind has seen.
But it is good that the PDP is celebrating their laughable victory and it is good that their wild merry making is demonstrating the fact that the PDP, from the top man to the last man, lives in mortal fear and awe of one man, Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Even as they gloat over capturing the length and breadth of Nigeria, their elusive quest for Lagos is running them mad, which they and their patronizing media advertised by the indecorous manner they launched a full-scale orgy after narrowly winning a bye-election where Tinubu’s party had no candidate and this is a local government where PDP won its only two members in the state house of assembly in 2007. One pertinent question the PDP must ask itself before it engages in another fool’s enterprise is whether their fortune today is better or equals their fortune in either 1999 or 2003. From a party that made so much noise about capturing Lagos , they have boxed themselves to a party that throws a nationwide orgy for scrapping through a municipal bye-election where the much-feared AC was not even featured. This speaks of the short sightedness of the PDP, the same shortsightedness that has led Nigeria into the abyss and the reason why the PDP can only ‘win’ elections through such disgraceful outings as in Ido Osi and still have the shameless disposition to flaunt such rotten diadems.
One wants to assure the PDP that its fate in Lagos and indeed the South West where it only exists as a notorious cabal of ballot robbers, is sealed and nothing will stop their extinction. PDP, a Party of intellectually deranged and challenged people, hopelessly and irredeemably clueless, myopic and totally visionless knows that no one fetches water with a basket. PDP is a political nonentity, that is not sitting, crawling, walking or running, rapacious greedy lots, who seek power without responsibility, wealth without work and politics without principle. PDP is a political bastard in Lagos , as in the entire South West because it was a product of the most corrupt siring by an illicit paternity. Their wild orgy over Ibeju Lekki confirms this and nothing stops it from being consigned into the dustbins of history as such notorious interlopers in the past has been so treated.
