Why United States of America Is a Wonderful Place!
By Engr. Ifeanyi Ibeh
United States of America is a land of optimism which has produced many intellectuals from all walks of life; almost every human wants to spend a night in the United States, but because of immigration rules and regulations, not everyone is eligible to visit, live, and to work in the United States of America. Where is the “shortest cut” to the United States of America?
The United States of America has sound education with system that enables students to achieve their academic dreams comfortably. Every academic profession in the United States is split into several areas, unlike many places in developing countries. Lots of academic instructors in the United States are too humble to students; the government of the country gives free education to elementary school students and high school students. The government in the United States also assists many of the University students through financial aids, scholarships, fellowship and other financial assistance programs. For example, in 2006, a U.S. immigrant associate of my co-worker was given a reasonable Pell Grants through the United States financial aid departments. Computers are used many a time to teach at the schools in the United States of America. Therefore, the United State Government encourages people to go to school in any circumstances.
The United States is where the health treatments are highly encouraging because the government values human lives more important than wealth in which that no patient is entitled to deny medical treatment because of his inability to afford medical expenses. There are many medical types of equipment used by the health care providers in the United States to rescue lives of patients. Due to lots of medical equipments in the States, about 98% of the patients’ problems are known; unlike in Africa and some nations where about 50% or more of the medical problems are unknown because of lack of medical equipments. Additionally, there is a program called SLIDING FEE SCALE at hospitals in the United States of America. The program enables patients that have low sources of incomes to be treated equally with patients that have high sources of incomes.
There are more jobs in the United States of American than in other countries even though the United States has economic crisis. Many foreign university graduates in the States did not have jobs while in their respective countries, in spite of the fact that they were actively looking for jobs, but after they relocated to the United States, they got jobs between 2– 12 months of their arriving, and today the graduates take care of their responsibilities, unlike when they were out of the United States of America.
In the United States, it is so admirable that there are many security organizations, like Public Safety, County Police, the sheriff, the State Troopers and numerous others, that assist the government to protect and save the lives of people living in the States; unlike in many countries where the police do not care much about the poor. Nevertheless, the electronic security system used in America both homes and offices are very superior to other security systems used in overseas because of its clear and lengthy coverage
To summarize, nice education, good health care, wonderful security, and many job opportunities in the United States are incredible; the States is one of the unique and right countries to live in order to achieve aims and objectives in life. However, this medium is used to bring to the notices of Mr. President, Umaru Yar’Adua, with all the federal senators that some constitutions need to be amended in reference to education, health care, and security because they are yearly falling down in a geometrical progression. So, I recommend American system of education to Nigeria, even though Nigeria was colonized by Britain. Let the federal minister of finance, Dr. Shamsudeen Usman, and all state commissioners for finance to host a seminar called Financial Assistance Conference that would enable the poor patients to receive good quality health services. The suggestions above would help the development of Nigeria in the different respects, like good health care and numerous others
