Imo: Waiting for Iwuoha’s “Trailer load of evidence” against Ohakim By Okechukwu Nwadike
A certain man who recently lost his heart when his illegal kerosene shanty was destroyed in Owerri, the Imo state capital by government’s agentshas been busy drumming the streets, flying the internet and shouting from the roof tops with barrels of allegations against the governor of the state, Chief Ikedi Ohakim.
This man who is simply known as Samuelson Ikenna Iwuoha had written over 200 articles and had petitioned several government authorities boasting he would personally jail the Imo state governor with his claims. Unfortunately, these allegations and petitions were always dismissed by relevant agencies each time they were sent because mere reading them would show the reader that the writer is mentally derailed, uncoordinated and out of track.
Although his efforts have been summarily dismissed as they lack complete intelligence but his utterances have remained a source of concern to some of us in the media profession which unfortunately he does not belong to.
Reading recently some of his uncoordinated materials, I begin to imagine what this fellow would be thinking of himself now. He probably would be smiling to himself that he is receiving attention; an attention so undeserved and gotten from cheap blackmailing of his leaders. He must be beating his chest now that he had succeeded in getting some of us write about him. He must be mischievously smiling now that the Imo state government is worried about his activities.
But the truth is that the elephant does not feel the perch of a single fly on its flesh so easily. The Imo state government is simply worried about the innocent gullible Ndi-Imo this lunatic must be deceiving now with his antics. Personally, I am worried that Iwuoha has remained one of the few quacks that have elected to give the pen profession bad image. He would have long been sent to jail in other administrations if not the rare tolerance quality of the present Imo governor, Ikedi Ohakim.
Some of this man’s allegations which he shamelessly and childishly petitioned relevant authorities were that governor Ohakim sleeps with under aged girls, that the governor forced Imo citizens to buy from him plastic dustbins sold in the open market at N3,000 for N20,000, that the governor is a failed family man and that one of his children was expelled from a university.
He also alleged that those working with the governor were all questionable characters as he went on to mention such Imo leaders as Nze Elvis Agukwe, George Irechukwu,. Emma Ohakim, Chikwem Onuoha among others calling them all kinds of unprintable names.
Iwuoha who has been displaying some funny arrogance even went too personal claiming he had information on how the governor’s brother and Chief of Staff was sacked from the CBN on account of fraud. He also said that the governor can no longer walk the streets of Imo as a free man because of his criminal activities of stealing, looting and sleeping with the under-aged and that Ohakim stole a brief case belonging to former Governor Evan Enwerem in October 1993 at Murtala Mohammed International airport.
Not tired of his evil intent and working very hard to destroy the image of the first family, Iwuoha further raised a serious allegation bothering on chastity when he said that the First Lady, Barrister Chioma Ohakim was caught sleeping around when she was a staff of defunct Progress Bank of Nigeria Plc and went on to mention a prominent chief as her mate. Who in his right mentality would go this rot to commit suicide and drive himself to self destruct? Even in civilized democracies, weighty allegations such as these are not treated with kid-glove.
In another petition sent to this writer (because he now petitions to every Tom, Dick and Harry against Ohakim), Samuelson Ikenna Iwuoha enumerated the crimes of Ohakim this way: “1.He is a liar 2.He is an ingrate 3.He is very disrespectful 4.He is a very wicked man 5.He is a very selfish man 6.He is a thieving Governor
7.He is a very destructive man 8. He is a criminal”
Iwuoha continued that “9 He is an unpleasant fellow 10.He is of no economic value to Imo people 11.He is of no social value to Imo people 12.He is of no political value to Imo people13. He is of no cultural value to Imo people 14.He is a very useless man15.He is a security risk to Imo people.16.He is not a good man17.He is very evil18.He is not straight forward 19.He is not trust worthy 20.He uses the name of Almighty God in vain. 21. He is a killer of human resources22.He is not intelligent 23.He is very fetish (He forced his S/A’s, E/A’s, Commissioners to swear oath of allegiance to him), 24.He forced poverty to become a native of Imo State…” What a childish claims!
In same petition and in other petitions he’s been circulating, Iwuoha worried why the relevant authorities he petitioned to had refused to invite him to appear and prove his several allegations against governor Ikedi Ohakim insisting that it was because the authorities knew he was capable of sending the governor to jail that they had refused to invite him.
As laughable as this false dreamy notion of Iwuoha is, I couldn’t hold myself from telling him that it is only a useless and idle agency that would begin to make a point or commence investigations out of his scribbles because the above points to send Ohakim to jail look like an art of a stupid and frustrated lunatic who is being intoxicated with a new wine.
I also read his recent material where he claimed he was personally beaten by Governor Ikedi Ohakim in the governor’s office. The arrogance and mental sickness exhibited in the essay sounded so heroic of him that I have not been wrong noting earlier that the young man would be beating his chest now in triumph of recognition.
The recent antic here is a deliberate effort to divert attention and distract the gullible public. This was a fellow who has been crying for opportunity to defend what he termed a “Trailer load of evidence against Ohakim” this was a man who had written to the Imo state House of Assembly, the Inspector General of Police, the EFCC, the ICPC and using the internet media to say that a special panel should be instituted to allow him off-load his container load of evidence that would nail the governor and send him to jail.
This writer did advise him then to go to court and prove his case against the governor if any but he would not listen because he had no case and had not comported himself well enough to prove his sanity before the public. He was termed a “Frustrated Lunatic” following revelations by his kinsmen that he was so.
But the good thing for Iwuoha, I should think, is that his prayers have been heard. His time to send Governor Ikedi Ohakim to jail has come. It is now a battl to finish as his arrest and court bail in Owerri recently has presented him the affordable opportunity he has been longing for to nail Ohakim.
I should encourage Iwuoha to begin to compile his trailer load of evidence against the governor and present them to the court. I should advice Iwuoha to concentrate more on proving his case in the courts rather than wiping up such silly sentiments and issues like the governor personally beating him because beating arrested criminals has never been news in the Nigeria prison’s operation by cell mates.
If I were Iwuoha, I would begin to count my blessings for getting court’s attention and approval to state my case rather than accusing a governor who is not even bothered of your little ego or troubled about your nuisance value.
